    You've provided many fair points.

    I'll definitely try out World 57 when I get a chance. ;)

F2p pking risking zammy and guthix sets it actually real good money like 5-6m per hour and depends on skill rather than ags or claws luck.

The only changes in f2p have been dung/corrupt, and neither are too overpowered. I love f2p pking....

Good Idea only thing I hate about F2P pking is the aspect that I'm always scared about running out of prayer points and the low risks but I think I might try this when I'm bored I used to do this like 4 years ago lol :)

I love how the game changes over time, but most people don't and they are the ones I'm trying to help here.
What's your prayer level? If you run out of points all that drops is ultimate strength and the attack prayer (it's a high risk wilderness world anyway).

I remember when Ancients first came out and transition from tb + godspells was among the pking aspect of the game.
The ways that you can pk have changed so much with the introduction to godwars, new prayers, and whatever is to come.
    the pc boat update.

This is one thing I actually love about F2P PK'ing which makes it quite exciting, the concept of "no armour" combat.

When I first came back to RS in the summer and tried out PK'ing for the first time in years, I thought all the people refusing to fight in armour were idiots. But once I started trying it out myself, I got totally hooked on it!

The fights are fast, intense, and very hit hitting (atleast by F2P standards). The best part is that its quite easy to make money doing this as well. If you are not happy with a simple full-rune risk in the inventory, many people offer to fight with god armours in their inventories instead, or a stack of cash. I've done various no-arm fights on F2P risking as much as 5M cash, and its very exciting :D

    Haven't pk'd in over a year, but I agree. F2p is amazing. :)

I always felt that the pking community in non membs was better as well. The rules are basic, and when you lose their shouldnt be any reason to complain. A good 2h ko compared to people complaining bout a claw rush, etc.

good thread btw ... most people don't give non membs a chance once they start playing

The joy of pking old school was actually dropping people for good loot, i.e. Ahrims, and general barrows with decent gear. WHILE still being about to be relatively low risk. I.e. Hybriding with T-helm/rock armour and obby shield with Ahrims and Karils in invent and your trusty whip. Nowadays you will get dropped wearing that, without standing a chance simply because RS is now full of Yak noobs etc. The equilibrium between risk and reward in the new wilderness is screwed up.

F2P is awesome. There is nothing more rewarding than using your rune scimitar, hitting a 210, then changing and hitting a quick 325 with the Rune 2H. Also, since the choice of armour etc. is so limited, it takes forever to kill others, thus making it so much better.

None of this 3 hit KO crap. It's pure endurance, and skill. Stats mean little.

What an interesting find M_A_I_N_FTW. I agree though, F2Pking is much more laid back, and of course nostalgic. As you said before, a majority of us roam RS because we've made our dens years back. Now a days, the population that join have absolutely no idea what they've missed out.

I agree, F2P pking has been much more fun recently, however, if you are a lower level (30-70ish) Then expect the fight to be Range and then switching to a 2h to finish them!

There's a difference between tolerating change and Jagex changing things that are unnecessary to change, I wouldn't mind the changes so much but they are working on things that don't need to be changed at all and ignoring things that need to be patched.

I used to always go F2P pking for fun. It's pretty good, although sometimes it's hard for me to find a good quantity of fights in my timezone - usually there are less maxed mains out in F2P for some reason.

Favorite part of f2p pking is not much of a risk but bragging rights :)
