Why you do drugs?

So Sythe I wanted to know why YOU do drugs! Is it to escape some problem in your life, just for fun, peer pressure? Also, what drugs do you do? For intensive purposes alcohol and tobacco will be considered a drug in this post. Please use proper grammar and terms, don't call it "pot" it's marijuana, it's not "beans" it's MDMA.


Me personally I do quite a few things, I smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, smoke marijuana, and occasionally bump pills. I don't have a bad life, I just do drugs to have more fun.

 

I smoke cigarettes because they keep me in a good mood.
I don't do much marijuana, maybe once in 1-2 weeks with friends just for fun.

 

I smoke a cigarette everyday before school, and every once in a while when I drink. I drink and smoke weed about every Friday and Saturday with friends. Pills are maybe every two weeks.

 

Everyone has different reasons for gravitating towards drug use, and sometimes those reasons change with time.

Personally, I started out using drugs for introspective purposes of self-enlightenment and exploration of my own mind. I began experimenting with pot, and a variety of psychedelic drugs. My drug use was pretty harmless around this time, and had alot of positive experiences come out of it. I discovered & played volumes of new music, created tons of art, writing projects etc. with a good group of friends.

As time went on though, I think I began to find refuge in drugs as an escape from my life around me, and even from my inner self. Marijuana and psychedelic drugs began magnifying and intensifying my feelings of depression, and so once I discovered "party drugs" it was a lost cause. After that its been a slow progression of alcohol & just about every street drug and prescription opiate you can think. I have used drugs for nearly half of my entire life, and most of my adult life, and it has changed me in many ways. I crossed the line from casual use into addiction long ago.

I am 4 months sober from ALL drugs in about 5 days The longest stretch of clean time I've had since I was 12 or 13 years old and began smoking pot.

EDIT: Forgot to add that I am still addicted to cigarettes.

 

I have never done drugs/smoke and i will never ever do it..

Imo most people that do drugs are misguided.

Started out of curiosity, then moved onto the feeling you get is irreplaceable and for financial reasons

 

I don't think smoking marijuana should be seen as doing drugs.
Marijuana is just for fun, well at least in my case.
I will never touch any other drugs that would harm me if thats what you are saying.

 

Marijuana contains THC, which is a drug, it isn't synthetic, but it is still a drug. Also inhaling hot smoke into your lungs can harm you, it may not cause cancer such as cigarettes, but it's still harmful.

 

I still think they should make a difference between marijuana and the more harmful drugs.
I don't consider myself a druguser for smoking marijuana.
The word 'drugs' is a negative word and has led to many prejudices.
People will judge you differently if you say you smoke weed than if you say you use drugs.

 

I personally only drink and smoke weed. I drink with friends pretty much every weekend, just because it's fun. I smoke weed basically every day. I feel happier when i do it and it seems to release a lot of stress for me.

I have no desire to try any type of hard drugs.

 

Should Advil no longer be considered a drug? Just because the word "drug" has a negative connotation doesn't mean marijuana isn't a drug. True it is becoming more widely acceptable to use this particular drug, but it's still a drug.

I wish I had the money to smoke everyday.

 

Advil is medication. Yeah an overdose can be fatal, but that counts for almost everything.

 

I smoke weed, use a little bit of shrooms in my weed.

Its like alcohol but its not. Im 16 and i dont drink, or smoke tobbacco because it just seems stupid.

Drug is anything that a living organism can absorb that alters the bodies natural functions.

You are wasting your shrooms, cant get higher if you put shrooms in your weed... It destroys the chemical at temps much lower than that of a flame...:idea:

Edit: And shrooming makes your brain bleed. so I think you should do a little research into what you think is true.


And on topic I have always wanted to have an outerbody experiance and the feeling of a demention without time, so I wanted to do salvia once.

 

Why, because it's your drug of choice? Substances exist on a continuum of varying degrees of harm and addiction; to arbitrarily choose marijuana as the drug by which others are judged is extremely misguided.

Yes, I'm sure that you don't consider yourself a druggie.

I'm pretty sure that diction doesn't lead to prejudice. (Do you even know what prejudice is?)

Considering that marijuana is a drug, I don't see how.
