Need Help: PayPal

I reccently bought 100m RSGP and got scammed $60. I sent the money as a gift with a message "This is for a virtual good that i already received". He didnt give me the RSGP. How can i reclaim this money?

Firstly, before doing anything make sure you file a scam report here if he has scammed you, that way you can get him banned here and prevent him from scamming others with that account. http://www.sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=253 I highly recommend reading the stickies before filing a report.

Regarding your PayPal problem, you can attempt a chargeback and claim he scammed you as you never received your goods. However I know PayPal won't help you if it is a virtual item, still it's always worth a shot.

In the future I recommend using an OMM to prevent yourself getting scammed again.

 

File a report and hope really. Ring PayPal directly on a regular basis also seems to bring results. Also never attach a note like that if you haven't got the goods.

 

Was it a credit card payment through paypal?
Was the payment made on the IP that your paypal account was created on?

 

Since you sent the money as a gift chances are you aren't going to be able to charge it back as it was sent as a gift.

However, to get the money back you have to be dishonest. If your paypal is credit card funded, you can call up your credit card company and inform them that the transaction was unauthorized. That should do the job.
