People that get banned for off site things.

I don't know if this is the right place or not, but I can't really think where else this would be best posted.

I keep seeing numerous report posts about people getting banned for posts on Hack Forums (HF), not actually scamming, just posting. I understand when people are banned on PowerBot for scamming etc then yeah they should be banned here. I also do agree if people are asking for RATS or keyloggers they should be banned.

But do staff have anyway of checking the IP of the posts from that site? I was just thinking today, surely anyone could just go on HF, make an account post asking for a keyloggers to get runescape accounts, and then leave someone's MSN from sythe that they want banned. A matching MSN seems to be enough to get someone banned, so is there actually anyway to prevent a random user getting another sythe user banned.

For example, using a MSN that I am 100% confident is not on any 'negative' forums, mine. If someone who had a grudge against me, what is to stop them making a post on HF saying like:
Looking for a Key logger! contact at: (My MSN)
And then reporting me on sythe.

If a framing ever arises we can pm the hf staff asking if the user matches this ip or isp. If they say it does it proves it was them - they'll stay banned, if not we'll do a little more investigating and if nothing turns up, they're usually unbanned.

They don't, but confirming if it's the same person they do.
