Lag.

Hey guys since the bot nuke i have been having low FPS, and i cant play. I get around 10 - 20 fps, while i can run MW3 perfectly fine, i have upgraded java, tried swiftkit, and the runescape client trick, browsers, but nothing works. Im also running runescape on safemod and in lowest settings. Anyone can help?

 

Try running it on max settings, sounds strange but it ran better for someone when they ran it on DirectX or OpenGL. Overall we are waiting for Jagex to solve this, for now all we can do is wait and make do with what we can. I only get 30-40FPS and I have a £500-£600 gaming PC that can max Crysis.

 

Tried running on opengl and software, its still the same.

 

PC specs? Updating to the latest graphic drivers can help.

If you have it like this there's almost no lag at all.

 

I have it at safe mode, not at direct x
And pc specs are 4gb ram 2.40 ghz

 

It must of be not laggy idk why you are experiencing lag.

 

He is getting lag because Jagex's recent bot nuke changed how the games runs, we're just waiting for them to issue or announce a fix, if they plan on doing one.

Most of the people dosent have lag though.

 

I don't but maybe it's because of what Laptop65 said.

 

Some people have lag some don't, as I said I only get 30 - 40 FPS and this computer should be running it at least 100 FPS+.

 

Oh , thats a big difference , I have no lagg atm.

The biggest issue is that you are running the game on Safe Mode witch means that the game logic AND the graphics are both run on CPU. If you switch it to either OpenGL or DirectX, the game starts to use hardware acceleration AKA it puts your graphics card to the work.

- Safe Mode means RuneScape uses CPU for its graphics. Switch to either DirectX or OpenGL. I prefer DirectX because OpenGL has given me some strange visual errors.
- Turn AA completely off.
- Turn ground decorations off.
- CPU usage set to maximum.
Everything else is more or less irrelevant and gives slight performance increases/decreases.

Are you sure you get graphics lag or can it be networks lag?

 

I tried directx but it and its more smooth now, but the character have like a weird look to it, is it possible for it to be like safe mode graphics?

 

I doubt its possible to change it. What you see is what its meant to look like, Safe Mode pinches colors etc to not slow it down too much.

 

why you running it in safe mood?

 

this has to do with the rs servers, if you can mw3 just fine then your settings are surely not the problem.
