[JAVA] Runescape Mass Name Checker [FREE][OPEN SOURCE]

I created a Runescape mass name checker in Java for you people who like to snag those rare names and/or sell them. The program is 100% free and created in Java.

It is open source so you can download the source and compile it and run it from there if you would like too or you can download the jar file and run it right away.

Here is a picture of it in action:



It uses the rscript name parser to check if the name is available or not. The slowest I saw it was around 4 seconds per name, but that is not because of the program but Runescape. I don't know of any faster methods.

It will be useful if you give us a folder with all names so we dont need to make one and put names etc.

 

Sorry for no directions haha. You gotta get a list of names one for each line and create an output file to save the free names.
And to iDesign I'm using substance look and feel to get the nice looking interface.

 

I'm getting around 5 seconds/name. Does the speed have to do with your internet connection or computer? Thanks anyways, this is amazing .

 

Haha this is the second name checker I've seen go public since I put mine up for sale 1 week ago or so

The reason why this is so slow is because when many people all mass query the rscript.org parser it slows it down like hell. I wouldn't be surprised if rscript disabled this service as a result of this, it takes a lot of their resources.

If anyone is interested in a name checker that doesn't completely rely on rscript.org parser - check my signature.

 

I'll look for another method for checking names but this is really the only way I know how. Unless someone wants to share a faster method.
