Why is luring aloud?:s

I always wondered why Sythe allows luring, personally I think of it as scamming, your luring a guy to die so you can steal from him, anyone knows why then tell me .

 

Don't go wildy if you don't want to die.

 

I agree that luring is absolutely absurb. But it's not all the lurer's the victims don't have enough common sense to know it's a scam.

But still sad people prey on these people

 

I assume it's because luring is legal, but keylogging / phishing is against real-world laws, and if a website promotes that they could be held liable.

Yet, when you say you once 'doubled money' they give you a Trade with Caution. It doesn't really make sense why that is a 'warning' yet scamming millions including rares [via luring] is completely acceptable here.

 

Cos if your stupid enough to fall for it you deserve to be lured

 

The way I have discerned it from the staff posts is you can scam anyone on runescape as long as it isn't another Sythe member. If you lure a Sythe member you get banned, but they don't care if you scam all the people you want on RS.

 

No, I remember a little while ago someone posted about scamming like 20m on runescape, he got banned immediately, yet its perfectly alright to talk about luring.

I fail to see the logic in that.

 

I also fail to see the logic and always have, but they're trying to keep a tiny minority of forum users.

I guess it would be better to say that you can lure anyone on Runescape but a sythe member. Same thing with duel arena glitching.

 

Scamming is scamming but, knowing that someone scammed someone in-game shows that they have it in them and for the right price they will cave in and run away with whatever they choose.

 

Because you can antilure

 

There was a thread about this before. There two different scenarios.

1. Someone on Sythe scams, then get banned, nothing to do with RuneScape
2. Someone gets scammed/lured on RuneScape, nothing to do with Sythe

luring is just exploiting your stupidity, scamming like chargeback paypal is something that you cant control

Remember there is still two type of luring according to jagex. Luring pkers from single to multi is legal and luring people into wilderness / dangerouse area isn't and jagex use to ban people doing that (Not anymore because they stopped giving a fuck to their customers).

 

Its very simple don't go in the wild if you don't want to die like someone said earlier. I don't think luring is that bad really. Why would anyone want you to go in the wild with rares/valuables? Come on now don't be a fuck tared you know whats coming. Now you sell a game and never ship it and receive the money that is stealing. Luring is not stealing because you can trick someone all you want but you in fact kill them which in runescape killing a player allows you to receive loot. Their fault for going into a place with a warning sign that says you can/will lose items upon death and by their own free will they go and take a risk. Just like investing. You might bank or you might lose it all, don't bet/risk what your not willing to lose.

 

Losing money to stake bugs is out of your control yet that's allowed here, so that's not a valid reasoning.

 

It is the same thing as scamming its just these kids on the site do it so they wont want to be labeled one so they try to make it into something it isn't your still taking someone elses stuff by tricking them into essentially giving you their stuff.

 

I think it is only against the rules if you social engineer / lure someone from sythe.org any other way doesn't matter.

 

Cause its free money

Why is scamming bannable but this isn't?
