Is there a certain amount of times you can try to recover an account?

Hey I was trying to recover my old pure from years ago that I forgot the password to. I tried recovering it twice, with all the correct recovery answers, exact date of creation, and I was trying to recover it on the same IP it was created on and both times it was denied. Wtf jagex?

I tried it a third time 2 days ago and they arent sending me an email whether it was accepted or not. What Im asking is, if you try to recover too many times in a certain amount of time and they all fail are you like not able to try to recover any more? Cause yea they arent sending me anything anymore..

 

I had a similar problem on when trying to recover my main before giving up on it. I was on the orginial IP and gave all the details, but to no avail. I tried a lot more than twice though, so I think you may not have noticed the email or something.

Another possibility is that the account got locked from you trying to recover it. It takes 2-3 days for them to reply to an appeal for a locked account, so that may be your problem. Just wait a bit longer.

 

I know it didnt use to be like that, but everything is all changed up now. I am also having trouble recovering a forgotten password atm and its very frustrating >.<

 

I believe u can only recover the same account 4 times a day and from the same ip address 4-5 times in a couple hours.

 

you can try it unlimited, but if you send in more appeals before you get an email they will take a really long time and then deny you

 

You can send max 3 appeals each hour (each after getting denied ofc).
If you don't get answer in over 6 hours, send a new one.
