MW3 Sellable?

Hi

I bought MW3 in december last year, and litterly played it 3 hours since then. I'm not really into the cod games and now want to know if it is possible to re-sell? Its for PC, i have the physical CD with the serial number however i have already used the key and can't seem to find a way to remove it from my PC.
I mean there must be a reason? Imagine if i had formated my PC, had it stolen or something? How would i have been able to re-use the key then?
There must be a way to make the key work again or what? Can anyone help me out here?

 

Nope, once the key is activated on your Steam account it's stuck on there forever. If you try to use the key again it will say " key already registers as used." You do have the option of selling your Steam account though.

 

In the case of Blizzard games (which all require CD keys), you can use the CD key as many times as you want on as many computers as you want, but only one computer can play the game at a time. If you try to load the game on more than one computer, it will only work for the first one. The second one trying to load it will get a message along the lines of "This product is being used on another computer". I believe it works the same for EA games such as The Sims or Spore as well.

I suggest trying to install it on a friend's computer, or on a laptop and seeing if the key will work again. That way you will know for sure what would happen.

 

^ MW3 is a key for Steam, meaning it can only be used on one account, and you can only log into a Steam account at one time, there can't be two people using it at the same time. Origin keys are probably the same story as Steam ones.
