"RS Is dying"

Ok, and that was in 2007 when free trade was around. It's common sense that a ton of people quit when free trade was removed, but obviously you can't say that the game is dying JUST because of that update. Back in November when the hiscores came out again they had 601k members, and they're at nearly 800k now? Obviously the google search trends are irrelevant as well, lol'd.

 

For me there is no RuneScape community, just old friends.
I made a pure, but the amount of noobs/kids were just too damn high.

F2P players was removed from hiscores. ^_^

The game has a higher percentage of ass holes than it did many years ago.

 

What if we made a "nice guy world". We would get a world going all the nice people would just go to. Yes there would be some random people and a few trolls but yahh.

 

I find this hard to agree with, based on the fact that a.) The Runescape fan base has grown older over the years b.) There are genuinely compassionate people in Runescape no matter what world you go to c.) Typically, veterans seclude themselves in open clans where they build fellowship with other veterans. Ultimately, it's dependent on what recreational activities you wrap yourself in. I can't imagine passiveness at the Duel Arena, compared to Falador East bank.

 

Rs2006 will not have near amount of trolls. Atleast not for a while..

#1 They can't buy accounts when game starts.
#2 They can't buy gold when game sarts.
#3 When they train and earn their hard earned cash they will treasure it instead of losing bank and then steal their parent's credit card to buy more.
#4 Its bottable but they do IP ban on first attempt, *speaking from a experienced simba scripter*.
#5 No claws, so only old school switching.

 

Deleted/infracted a few flame posts on here, come on guys keep it clean.

 

Turn your chat off when in Wilderness.. thats what I sometimes do. Way more fun.

The game is dying bit by bit, lots of people joined, but that can't compare to the amount of people that have quit.

 

Seems like everyone in the thread is forgetting that most "old players" do eventually grow up and realize Runescape is a waste of time.
Jagex knows this, so their appeal is never going to really be aimed at old players. It's the vulnerable new kids they're after.

But i agree with numbers going down.. all worlds with people under 500 are DEAD. You see nobody. =/ it's like a ghost-town.

 

Oh yeah, there's definitely a lot of people eve in their 20's who play it. That's why I said "most" . However, those players tend to be the ones who, as someone said earlier, keep to themselves most of the time.

 

why did i get a infraction for saying he couldnt have said it any better, i was agreeing with him..

 

If I could wish for one thing to happen on RS it would be for all my bro's to come back that I had been playing with since classic for years.

Practically grew up with those lads.
