Favorite headset?

Over the years Ive gone through quite a few pairs of headsets, ranging anywhere from 20-250 dollars. From the standard xbox headsets that are given to you all the way to the astro a40s.

Right now I`m using the px21s and for what I paid, they`re without a doubt my favorite headset. Good sound quality, compatible with ps3, xbox and your computer + there comfortable.

The runner up would have to be astro a40s, for the two weeks or so that I borrowed them from my friend they were absolutely terrific in all categories, but just not worth the 250+ $ you have to pay for them.

As for the other headsets I used..

X41s: My least favorite headset, theyre comfortable and you could walk around your house with them on, but I found they would pick up other frequencies and your sound quality was kind of blurred.

X11s: Nothing special, but they get the job done. If your looking for a decent headset, but you don`t want to spend 100+, its a good pick.

Xbox stock headset: Piece of shit, but you really cant expect much from something that costs 20-30 bucks. (I ended up breaking them the day I got them ^_^ )

So, favorite headset + what do you use?

 

My ordinary Xbox headset. I don't take gaming that seriously to go out and buy a headset and then sweat it out.

 

I got some wanabe Turtle Beaches, cost me £15 on Amazon.

 

Currently am using the MW3 Edition Wireless Xbox Headset. It's cool to use

 

I use X41s, they work very well for me.

 

i have turtles x12 and love them but i usually dont play with a mic in as a play alone and hate listening to the 5 year olds yelling in my ear.

I've tried Triton Ax pro's They got stuffed so i went to Astro's and they are beast for competitive gaming

 

Astro a40's without a doubt got em a few days ago.

Turtle Beaches mx11 i think is what they are called, love them and they block out sound very good, worth the 60 that I paid for them

 

I used the reg headset. I don't really go all out with gaming, it's just a pass time

 

I have A40s and I must say that I love them.
Sound quality is great but I have an issue with all the cords.

 

I own both x11's and x12's. IMO the x12's look nice and match my xbox color, lol.

 

I've owned a few headsets in the past, ranging from X3s, X31s, X11s, X12s, A40s, etc.

For the money, the best one out of the bunch so far has been the X12s by far. The A40s have better sound quality and more options available, but I can't justify it with the extra $250 you have to shell out... just not even close to being worth it. The X12s have been great so far, I even get pretty damn good microphone quality for my CoD commentaries. Equal to or better than what I got when I used the A40s for commentary.

I love my Xbox & all, but I'm not paying what an used Xbox is worth, for some headset, regardless of how "good" it is.
If I'm too buy anything Xbox related that's not a new game, it'll be too buy a new JTAG.
Preferably one with a ghost case with strobing LED's.:love:

I own Astros A30s and Astro A40s. They are orgasmic. Astro A40s are well worth the money once you hear them for the first time.

I own both the A30 & the A40's both excellent but I honestly prefer my A30's becuase they're light for long gaming sessions and I think personally the better looking of the 2.
