"RS Is dying"

The game is on a slow decline. I think that fixing the community is a great thing, do you think it would bring back old players?, as well as keep existing players for longer.

Anyways way to completely dodge my point about the rapidly increasing amount of members rs has, but I expected that from a clueless noob who has no idea how to argue.

And define: "back in the day". For as long as I remember, people have not been friendly, people aren't friendly in general on the internet obviously due to anonymity, and especially since the average rs player is not mature, this unfriendlyness shines because they obviously think it's funny.

The fact that you would even suggest I bought my account just shows how new you are, obviously you're clueless to the max and you have yet to reply to my point made on page 1. And obviously you didn't play back then because you'd know that a majority of the community were EXACTLY like how they are today, rude obnoxious and annoying. You obviously have to remember that you were younger back then as well, so you were probably exactly like them and didn't notice it.

What makes you think it will be different from the game now? Sure the actual game content will be as it was in 2006 but the community is going to be the exact same trolls.

 

True, I don't think there will ever be a nice friendly community again in rs, or any private server. The new content is what killed rs in my eyes, I can deal with the trolls. All but 1 of my friends quit rs, so I usually just do my own thing ingame. I like playing private servers to pk though.

When you were a kid, you had a nintendo 64 and pokemon cards. Do you honestly think that having a nintento 64 and pokemon cards up until the point you're at would remain fun? You have an xbox360 and an ipad2 and shit now, shit changed for you.

What i'm saying is, shit changes. Runescape is a game, if you don't like it grow the fuck up and walk away from it.

 

If they did that, word would get to the community and RS would be fucked. The mass quitting of legit players would seriously have a massive impact on the game, and it would just be pure hipocrite.

but the problem is, that the 12 year olds now are FAR TOO Rude & cocky.

I know there are lots of 9 - 13 year old players out there that play like in the old days (just play) and don't say anything... I often see addy wearing low levels that don't say a word and seem young.

But I agree RS is "dying" ... it's dead for me already, the only things left are rare names & black, mithril and addy arm. Rest is ruined because of STUPID updates.

 

I remember when people played for fun (rs classic days).

Now it's for money, boasting, acting tough online.. and whatnot.

 

Old days were the best. Players actually had manners and stuff. Nowadays it's just stupid kids calling each other "nerd".

 

Runescape reached over a million subscribers in 2007 - a simple google search will show you the evident proof. Now Runescape only has ~795k players on their highscores, which is ~205k less subscribers. Keep in mind that it also shows previous members of up to 2 weeks so the amount of subscribers is substantially less.

By the way, please stop flaming. The community has always been terrible due to people like you.

 

yes its quite obvious rs population has been declining..googling any simple graph will show you that..also if you diddnt notice they increased the price of membership from what it used to be ~$6 to ~$8, why you ask? decrease in subscriptions means they have to raise the price of membership to accommodate for the loss of income.
