Acct sale?

I got a warning from Jagex saying shit like "It has come to our attention you are selling your Runescape account".

I can't figure out which acct they're talking about.

I got the email BEFORE I registered my mule to the email.

And I have my main registered to a different email.

None of my actively used accounts have any in-game messages.

If it's going to effect my separate accounts, I might worry

Should I just not care, or is it possible they would only email me this message as opposed to send it to both email and message center?

And, where the hell would it say which account it is? Which, chances are if they aren't saying my username it was a later-registered email only acct.

Also, there is another account that I got from a friend I am cancelling the email of via the email this was sent to, so chances are it's that acct. But once again, no new RS messages.

Sounds like one of those fake emails i always receive. just ignore it.

Did a Phishing email just forward me to Runescape's website. lol

I didn't type in login info because I couldn't figure out what acct it was. And no popups, or firewall warnings.

But, I'm so confused actually.

 

It's not runescape, Once you click on it, The link changes, And anyone can fake an email address while sending, Make sure to not enter any details on the site, Jagex will never notify you via Email of Bans or anything along those lines.

I didn't type info or get popups, should I still scan computer and change passes on accounts (I logged in after clicking looking for RS messages, oops)

 

I get those emails even though I don't play active. Funny thing is, I have no accounts linked to the address I recieve them at.

 

Well, if no popups were clicked and no info was typed, even if I logged on the actual RS site, I'm safe, right?

 

I have Malwarebytes.

Just wondering if it's necessary vs. recommended to scan.

im not 100% sure how the phish links work but i do know that obviously if you would have put your info in you would have lost the account, but actually going to the site, i dont think they can keylog you by just going onto the website.

It is beyond me how dumb you people are to question something like this.

It is obviously a phish, why would you need to verify account ownership if they were investigating 'account trading'.

Please start posting again once you have gotten some common sense.

 

No they're not. What evidence do you have of this? Please do not go around spreading falseties, these emails are phishers and have been sent for months
