RuneScape in 2006?

So I was looking for a decent private server, and I came across a website that was 'remaking' RuneScape the way it was in 2006, I checked it out, they have a whole bunch of youtube videos under 'RS2006REMAKE' channel on youtube. The website is rs2006, I signed up for it, but I guess it's not released yet,

Seems legit with like 80k+ registered users, although I guess many people have more than one account.

What are your guys' thoughts on this? Is it going to last? I heard they are running into problems with Jagex but I'm not sure of all the details..

Please let me know if I'm breakinga rule by discussing this, have no intention of that.

P.S: I'm not advertising in anyway, so please don't think that, just want to get your opinion on it.

 

It will end up getting shut down soon after/before release because Jagex is going to sue because its using Jagexs property without consent.

 

Sums up what I was going to say. Pretty much, private servers and bot companies are going to be fucked in the future, but it won't affect the users as heavily. Enjoy it while you can, but they are using items that probably have a copyright on them.

 

hmm, they did say they had a backup plan, and there are tons of loaded private servers with more than 200k registered users that make pure income off of donations, and they haven't even been contacted by Jagex.

We'll see how it turns out. I think it will last.
