High level 1 def pures are doomed?

I have a 1 defence pure with 80 attack and near 90 str(going for 99 obviously) and was wondering how I would perform against a player with veng and lower stats.

Lets say I would have:
80 att
99 str
1 def
52 pray
cb88

And the other would have:
60/80 att
94/85 str
40 def
52 pray
88 cb
with vengance


I feel like I will get owned very hard. RS has prefered players with defence other then 1 so much lately I feel like high level 1 def pures are doomed if not dead already.

What are your thoughts on that?

 

sorry but yea, you'll get owned. High level pures dont do well unless it's a hybrid fight, but even then...

 

Yeah, it's been like this for awhile now.

I used to have 2 pures maxed out through botting.
I mean I got a kill every once and awhile but i'd be just eating the entire fight when fighting range tanks and zerkers.

One pure ended up getting banned and the other I just eventually made a zerker. Still fun to pk on and the loots were a bit better.

 

Thats really sad news, considering how hard it really is to legitly train def1 pure to the max.

Thinking about creating a dragon pure.. Just for the sake of having high defence. Will not mess my def1 pure up thought.

Runescape wasnt made to cater for anyone planning on playing anything other than a main.

It's more of a challenge tbh.

 

High lvl pures are better for pking in teams, your better off joining a clan like MM or FOE. You could have a lot of fun on the trips.

 

I if you do decide to get Defense at least do it getting Turmoil and stay 30, so much better than a "Rune Pure"

 

Myself and my brother have maxxed out (99hp, 99str, 99range, 99 mage, 80 attack, 10 defense) pures, combat lvl 91 in wilderness and working on 99 summoning. 10 defense was for slay helms and korasi and tbh couldnt find any fights at 88 combat and figured 3 combats wouldnt hurt (oh yea 52 pray). I still enjoy it, I don't really get owned that often, only people that give me trouble is the low str turmoils because i can't hit on them, its not their damage output its just in a 1v1 I will run out of food before them and with soulsplit I can't get em low enough cuz its like they are always safing, lol.

But......they don't risk anything anyways so no point in fighting them.

 

Thats why i no longer make pures, medium level pures can fight low level turmoil pures, thats definatly not fair haha I prefer the "Special" accs like obby tanks, summ tanks, range tanks, but not a main nor a pure.

But from the stats that you had shown yes, your pure....would die lol

 

In all honesty, defence is the new pure, i was 1 def, now im 30 def turm, now i HATE 1v1 i just get ripped by 40+ venge/rune/bgloves, even when they have shit stats.

I have a 80 92 1 pure right now and wondering what to do with it as I just don't like him enought in wilderness with 1 defence. I do not really have the money for turmoil too right now. =/

Im a Pure , but all i do is clan.

 

They work with godswords and chaotics, but otherwise are dead.

 

You're not bad if you're -85CMB.

A 60 Attack pure maxes out at 82+13 CMB in the wild so you're good anyway.

80 Attack Maxes out @ 89+12 Combat, which means you'll be fighting a lot of tanks.

And then you could always go godly with 99 Attack, 99 Strength, 99 Ranged, 99 Summoning, 99 Hitpoints, 99 Magic which maxes out at 94+12 CMB.

Only pures like that are: 13th R4nger, it must be a hell of an accomplishment to be a 1 def main but I imagine he doesn't solo pk hell get destroyed by kids with def.
