Every year people like you complain about how runescape isn't going to last and is going to die out in X number of years. Well guess what? Each year RuneScape is being updated more and more and is still running. Sure, the community isn't the kind that you wanted, but what can you expect? This is an online MMORPG game, and it appeals to a younger audience. You have all rights to complain and voice your opinion about the game; but quite frankly jagex doesn't give a shit about what you say. They are successful and still racking in lots of member subscriptions every month. The game is far from going downhill in their eyes. RuneScape as a game has survived for over 10 years and has already established a good player base and loyal player community (look at the activity on the official runescape forums); it is FAR from going downhill any time soon.

 

Runescape still has a huge fanbase, just because pking is dissolving doesn't mean the community will.

Personally i think it will be around for a long time, Hopefilly ill be well away from it by then

 

In your opinion its a bad game for other people not.
you have to pk/stake that's where the fun is at not at skilling.

aslong as rs has forums like these and their own forums with dedicated players i think it will last awhile

 

Will last as you got Gold sellers and you got addicted staking kids/ ten year olds who want to look hard on a game, so they buy RSGP. No offense to anyone who takes offense to this.

The game will last as long as people still play it. I say that this game will always be around. The real game might die but there will always be private servers. I don't mind the updates most of they are helpful and cool. I know to many "cheaters"(I used to bot also) or people who bot the game is going downhill but the true players are still happy with the game.

 

I've been saying the same thing, I just hope they manage to make an update to make it appealing again.

 

There are always private servers, but never many ppl playing them. Too many different servers. Should just have one or two private servers that everyone plays tbh.

 

You think the Runescape community is bad? League of Legends community is so much worse, like real terror.

 

Hmm, you're right. Well I won't look back at Runescape. I'm done..time to move on.

Did you never think that variable costs etc might have gone up for Jagex. Also, because of the lack of bots being members (gradually coming back up), they had to put the prices up to keep a steady income. Also, it's up to the new owners, who I believe are now american.

 

The community sucks and everyone is rude. Runescape back in 06 was so much fun, I think all the new updates such as the Grand Exchange and the Wilderness changes ruined the feel for the game.
