Market - Not Allowing Customer Service?

Apparently we aren't allowed to provide customer service in the market? This is equivalent to walking into a restaurant where the waiter ignores you and doesn't tell you to enjoy your meal. How do you feel? Your restaurant experience is most likely ruined which would effect your choice on coming back to that restaurant in the future.

My customer bought my product; I am punished for telling them to enjoy it?

Customer service is a business strategy.

 

There are other ways to contact your customer besides posting in a selling thread. This rule in no way should deter anyone from offering the level of customer service they feel they should provide, unless your customer service only includes "Thanks" or "Added" like the rule states you cannot post.

 

That's stupid, I don't think you should be infracted for it. If thats the case I expect every big seller to be temp banned or even perm banned in a few hours. Seem's like somone was being biased

 

And posting publicly on your thread is the only way to thank people?

No, because every big seller follows the rule, I'd like to see you link any of them who have broken this rule and got away with it (after it has been reported).

You could have sent them a kind PM displaying your satisfaction with your trades.

You're being punished by the way you told them to enjoy it, the rule is clearly stated.

Adding "enjoy" doesn't make it exempt from the rules.

Yes my meal would be ruined if the waitress was rude/incompetent. For all I know she's spitting in my food. Its not just the food, its the environment surrounding a purchase.

As I said its a playerauctions transaction, the majority of my PA sales are from people clicking on my link and ordering directly from my shop. PA messaging system is glitched.

If stuff isn't getting reported maybe its an indication there needs to be more market mods..

No offense to Snow Patrol but whats the point? Its obvious anyone can do that to create a free bump for themselves, not saying thats what he did. Its not hard for me to create 2 separate posts in my thread vouching both people therefore avoiding an excessive bump infraction, meanwhile not creating 1 extra posts in my thread but 2?

 

Seriously? What if the entire service was a great example of professionalism, the person showed you respect, dealt with your problems, etc. So, if they don't say "enjoy your meal," they're rude/incompetent? What....? I don't understand how "enjoy your meal" makes you believe she spit in your food, or whatever. Yeah, what if there's a great environment, but they forget to say "enjoy your meal," I guess you shouldn't go back regardless of there great environment, food, etc.

Yeah, that's spam. You can tell if there's TWO posts in a short period of time, while you could have just had one.

 

I agree with kmjt. The thread is bumped, but it gets bumped every time a customer posts anyway. I'd prefer ONLY seeing threads where the seller is online and actively selling. There is no problem (imo) with a seller's thread getting bumped because they were kind enough to say thank you.

 

KMJT is in the wrong, and won't accept it. To be honest, saying thanks is spam, as you can PM them, and if they don't have sythe, there isn't this problem..

There's a number of ways you can thank customers, and odds are they won't go to your thread hours after the transaction(as the case in your post). Send them a PM. Message them over MSN. However, it's another bump if you're doing it via an additional post. The infraction and rule will still in place.
