Just downloaded Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty by Big Boi (in short: a Hip-Hop album) in .flac format and got this applescript called Fluke which let me pop that bad boy in iTunes (435mb of one album!) and I'm listening to it with my Beats Tour, the in-ear Monster Dr. Dre headphones and it is mystically amazing quality. Totally captivated.

Do you listen to music in whatever form you download it in? Only off CDs? Lossless? 192kbs? I personally prefer 320kbs, it's nearly as good as .flac IMO and I do notice a difference from 192kbs with good headphones.

All my music files are .AAC. Whatever that means, they sound fine through my Logitech speakers and my gaming headset, no problems there. It says all mine are 256 kkbs.

    ......................

I have a large CD/Vinyl collection. FLAC/lossless/lame codecs pale in comparison to vinyl. Ditch the beats bruh, there are much better headphones for way cheaper. I have da sennheiser HD 25-1 II.

    mp3 quality test

    take this^.... don't cheat.

My friend got me them on the cheap though!
And yeah, I failed the test.. But it seems to me that lower quality rips sometimes have that "scratchy" sound when the treble's really bad, I guess it all depends on the file itself.

I run on a low bandwidth amount a month so I can't get too terribly good quality of music (flac is out of the question unless I plan on only downloading 5 albums on month) but usually for the most part I try to get at least decent quality.
