Altho overly dramatised and the video makes some strange conclusions and links sometimes, the story they tell couldn't be more true. Fully support on this. I should know better but I truly hope Jagex takes this video seriously. I've seen mods come and go, and the people that have contact with the community nowadays are all relatively new. jagex should see the makers of this video as the ultimate free content reviewer, with an experience that can nowhere else be found.

Wow I had no idea all those clans closed. Deep video, hopefully jagex sees it and takes it seriously.

 

You all understand Jagex is a corporation correct? Their main goal is to make money and in order to do that and compete with other MMOs they need to update and change the game.

 

They won't. It's very unlikely after all their efforts to come up with fresh updates.

 

We can say they're like the US government.

I loved this documentary though! Its very well filmed, slightly cheesy/nerdy, but there was obviously an extreme amount of effort put into it by a few players who actually care enough about the wilderness and its future to spend a large amount of their time making something like this.

I've seen many people try to rant about the current wilderness, or offer suggestions and fixes to Jagex, so far without success. I hope that this video, in its extremely creative fashion, will be enough to catch the attention of Jagex and bring back memories themselves of the olden days, and the golden era of clanning, wars, and PVP in Runescape. Revamping the wilderness would bring a massive influx of new and old players alike to Runescape, bringing it lots of good business for Jagex, and also creating an amazing and fun experience for all the players who were never around back in the golden age.

If the wilderness could be reinvented with new areas, new risks, and new reasons for people to explore it, and Jagex were to address issues such as PJing, I think the wilderness could possibly be returned to its former glory, for the enjoyment of everybody and in the end, to make Runescape a much better game than it is now.




EDIT: This is off topic, but does anybody know how its possible to film those 'cutscene' looking shots where they show a zoomed-out view of the landscapes/areas in RS? I've always wondered how thats possible, and whether they use a Private Server or something or whether there is a way to actually achieve that sort of camera angle ingame. Either way, it makes for great filming, this in this video.

terrific video. Its a shame how combat has evolved in this game now. Step into the wildy risking more then 100k and expect to be claw rushed 10-15 times in half an hour, if you're lucky

 

The video is amazing, my dad walked in when I was watching it earlier and he was just like really Tyler?

I might even upload a shoutout from my youtube channel to get more people to watch this; the ideas in the video are great. If they were to put more valueable resources into the wilderness then it might actually have a point.

 

This is best video ever made, if jagex sees this they probally do something about the wilderness and i hope they make it active again, because now ppl are just collecting items.
