I think the video is more and better evidence than the screenshots, you can easily edit screenshots. Try to upload it on Youtube or so and send them the link.

 

This is really a wounder pal, some idiot did this to me also, but not quite as much, I personally phoned paypal and shouted at them, and told them straight, he persuaded me to sell some virtuall currency, and they are a little lenient, but yeah i also showed them, he told me his paypal, which was on the msn logs, and they traced his ip, and it all matched, just hopefully he hasn't hidden his ip.

 

I really hope so mate, the Irish lady seemed quite sympathetic towards me and I have full chatlogs aswell as an hour video which I'm going to atleast edit down to the parts that matter.. most of it was waiting for payments to be accepted and things.

Just irritates me really, I've never sold GP before. I see his thread now selling gold and it's pissing me off so much. I'm contacting a mod now to submit things as it contains personal information etc.

You need to call them directly and explain that he is charging back for a virtual trade and that he was in fact control of his paypal account and they will check if he used a proxy or a vpn and when his last login was before using the proxy to verify it was most likely him. Good luck. Follow my advice and most likely you will win the dispute. Has happened to me with a 450$ trade before.

 

I've explained that it was over virtual items and things, as soon as I submit evidence for each case I'll call up and talk to her again.

She's told me there's no way I can submit the video as evidence, so I've taken screenshots of basically everything and used chatlogs too.

i am assuming you know buyers name and address just send a blank page shipped via dhl to his address if he accepts hes going to lose paypal case if he declines he will win

if he accepts and claims its not as described just ask for it to be sent back but when its sent back just refuse delivery

In my experience the "unauthorized access" claims filed against me in the past have failed. I may have just gotten lucky, but just thought I'd give you the hope.

Have you filed a Scam Report against the user who scammed you?

 

It depends on how it is done. If the transaction was with a stolen credit card and the person reported it to their CC company, it's highly unlikely that you will win. On the other hand, if they just filed it with PP, you have a shot.

I had a dispute with Paypal filed against me a few months ago that I won. After that however, it was disputed again by the credit card company. Since I won with PP, they defended me with the CC company. Despite that, I still lost.

 

I've been scammed like this before. I sent in a ton of evidence, but in the end, an unauthorized dispute has to be treated as a real hacking. They really have no other choice from their end. Their downfall is not going after these scammers. Sellers get fucked over all the time, and Paypal doesn't do shit about it. Fuck them.

 

video's and chat logs are good - but you need to prove that they are between you and the other party. Anyone can fake a chat log or video

try and find some evidence of his IP address during the trade, paypal can match the IP with the accounts address and be certain that you traded with this person. for example i am pretty sure you can get an IP address from an email they send via hotmail?

 

If an IP is REQUIRED, I'm pretty screwed.
I have a potential way of winning this case however, which I cannot disclose.
They've made a large mistake in it all.
