How do I apply add-ons?

I want stuff like quest helper. I've read some guides on how to apply them but I don't understand what to do at all. Winrawr file what??

What's the easiest way to do it? I did it on my other computer by extracting the questhelper file into my WoW folder but I can't find where my WoW folder is on this computer. Also I'm not sure if that worked because it was a trial version on my other computer and you can't use questhelper on a trial account.

So if someone can break it down to the easiest noobiest way possible to use add-ons I will really appreciate it.

 

You extract .rar's into WoW/Interface/AddOns folder, you should use search to find it. Or you can just Curse Client from www.curse.com

 

Put the mod files into the addon folder. Make sure it's unzipped though!

Just download the curse client, its way easier and the addons automatically update themselves, so no hassle.

 

I got it worked out. For anyone with the the same issue; Right click WoW on your desktop, select properties, click file location - Now you know where to extract the file.

Download the Addo-on move it from the folder onto the desktop, right click it, send to; Zip folder, right click zip folder, extract all, find the wow Add-on folder, press ok; Done

 

Download the curse client, makes it 500 times easier.
