DId I get heacked? help please.

So here is the story. Im so pissed. I was at trolls in Burthope leveling attack. I was wearing full bandos, fury, ss, and claws. and food and pots. It was kind of laggy. After around a hour of lvling, I went to the lobby for around 30 seconds, I then tried to log back in. It said you havent logged out from last session. This happens a lot, so i just go back to home page and try and log in again. When I logged in, I was in Ge with 10 varrock tele's in inventory, all the stuff I was wearing was gone. My coins where gone even though I had a pin, and the rest of bank which was cheap was untouched. So basically everything I had at trolls was gone. Was I hacked? I didnt think so because I logged back in like 3 minutes later and everything was gone. If I was hacked how could they figure out pin and take all my stuff in 3 minutes. Thanks for the help. I want to buy more gp, but not if I have keylogger or something. The last thing I downloaded was a couple days ago and I ran a virus check that came up clean... SO WTF? And the coins where in pouch, so they would need a pin to take 0.0


Oh ya I just realized Gold4rs had my pass and Pin, but I got refund so they didnt do job. DId they hack me? 0.0 they would have to know exactly when I got off and do it in 3 minutes. I noticed that last login IP said 218. something. But I had just logged out... So IDK

you might be keylogged or rat'ed dude. Someone obviously has access to your account since your character's location was moved, all your wealth was taken off, and all your items were stolen.

I'd suggest running a virus scan. Download MalwareBytes here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Run the scans, set up a firewall.

Then change all your passwords of you runescape account/msn/sythe account etc.

you could be keylogged or rat'ed.

Edit: just read that Gold4rs knows your pin + pass. Why would you even give them your pin + pass? There like the biggest scammers/scum of the earth.

 

You could of been bank wiped by Jagex if you bought gold recently

 

That doesn't make sense. His account was moved to a new location and he just stated that a different I.P. had logged onto his account so its not a bank wipe.

Go to the gold4rs live help center. Explain to them what happens. There probably not going to believe you though.

 

But How did they crack pin, go to bank somehow tele to varrock and trade all my items in under 3 minutes? And Are you sure it wasnt a glitch? I know about rats and keyloggers etc. Havent downloaded anything or been java drive byed or anything like that. So if i was hacked it means that gold4rs did it. I thought people couldn't log in If I was in lobby, When i tried to join world it said I was already logged in.

it's pretty self explanatory that gold4fun did it. they knew your password + pin. They were just waiting for you to get offline so they could quickly get on and transfer all your stuff away.I mean they trade billions (and I assume scam) billions every day so they probably have some sneaky tricks where they set up many accounts to easily trade/transfer the money over quickly.You should have taken a picture of the last I.P. logged onto your account.

And how can it be a glitch? When someone of another I.P logged onto your account..All your money gone, your items cleaned, and your character was moved to an entirely new location unrelated to what you were doing.

 

I've ordered from gold4rs with no problems in the past. Did you order power leveling and not change your password after it? Gold4rs clearly states that you should change it

 

Ya it seems like it. All I could get when I contacted them was: the first reply when I said I was unhappy "ok, Bye" and "It is not confirmed, cant help you". I dont know why I ever did business with them anyway. "An unknown plug in has crashed do you wish to stop it" keeps coming up might be a coincidence. Norton didn't detect anything and Malwarebytes is downloading

 

If the IP was different you were hacked. If it was a reset you wouldn't have moved from where you left your character.

As posted earlier you should download malwarebytes, out of all the free anti-virus programs I've found that is the best and I use it to this day.

 

The thing is I forgot, Because I couldn't do phone confirmation they cancelled it like 5 minutes later. I should of changed but I forgot. Ive done past deals with them ok, to. But they always make me transfer stuff on another account. The guy said they could transfer it for me onto their other account. Maybe that wasnt true and he is the one that hacked me?

 

you can keep thinking what happened or speculating who scammed you etc. but the lesson to learn here is to always change your password + pin regularly, especially after having disclosed that information to a company like gold4rs, as they can just access your account at any time and scam you.

and the fact of the matter is, a glitch or not; the sad thing is you won't be getting the rsgp back. you should have taken a picture of the last I.P. logged onto your account and shown it to a gold4fun representative and explained what happened.

 

I dont usually look at a ip and I use proxies sometimes so when im trading with my other accounts. So Im used to it. So I saw the 218 out of the corner for my eye while it was logging in. Plus what proof would it be. Whenever they come on my account where the ip should be it is always empty. But thanks for the tips. Ill just have to buy my cash again of sythe

 

I'm pretty sure JaGex would just wipe everything on the spot and not leave teleports in your inventory. Never trust Gold4RS with that stuff man.

 

I'd blame Gold4Fun seems most likely they did it.

 

Yep I am definitely never doing any sort of business with them. And will tell anyone who uses them to stop using them.

 

Should have known straight away.. Im guessing they have hundreds if not thousands of people working there so the random-er they chose to do your account must have just stole your stuff and got away with it. As i always say, why use Scam4fun when you have a sythe account.

EVERYTIME you give away your pass and pin, you're taking a risk of getting hacked. Common logic.

 

It does not sound like you get reset by jagex as they don't normally take items or move your character. It is far more likely gold4rs did it. It's sad to think they scam but they know it won't lower the trade they get...
Or maybe you where more baked than a cherry bakewell and dropped it all on a relaxing stroll through the woods to Varrock.
