Playing Runescape legit

So, I haven't played legit for years... although since the start I stuck with one account that I still have. It's not the greatest and I haven't played it in a long time. Considering playing legit again but it seems a bit gay playing legit? Maybe it's just me I don't even know but it's so time consuming I'm still debating whether or not to play. Thoughts?

 

It can be enjoyable. Why don't you try it out ? Who cares if everyone on Sythe thinks it's gay as long as you are having a good time. I personally love to quest as long as I haven't doen the quest before.

 

I think RS legit sucks because you get into it and remember how fun it was in like '05.

That being said, always fun to find some oldies to play legit with.

That is the reason why botting was so essential. Ask yourself, do you really want to invest your time right now and come back to rs to train legit? You probably have some big goals for yourself and a few 99s you might want to achieve; but do you really want to invest your time into getting them? Rs is a lot different from what it used to be. There are far more important things you could be doing with your life besides wasting it away playing an online game, because in the end result you gain nothing from it in the real world. Before coming back to play legit, make sure your up for the commitment. Personally I wouldn't come back, there is no point. There are far better things I could be doing with my time besides grinding countless hours/days for a 99 stat.

 

do you mean legit like no botting/rwting

i used to be scared of doing that
but then i realized its not that bad
i started botting 2-3 months before the nuke
and i didn't rely on it much cause i would always watch the bot cause i thought it would screw up

 

I mean, I guess you could join a gym in your spare time or volunteer work.

When you are done with your work and your studies , why not scape ?

 

As somebody who's been playing since classic on and off I completely disagree.

You talk about grinding countless hours get a 99 stat which helps you achieve nothing in real life. No video games help you achieve much at life unless you get in to pro-gaming. Also commitment was a very loosely used term. I love my new pure im in the process of making and i play it 4-5 hrs a week and have fun and also has absolutely no effect on my social life.

You should jump on and check it out, if you're interested again then start playing and if its shit spend your time pursuing another hobby. That's all runescape is a hobby, a game, some people take it real intense.

 

he mentioned that time is really important to him (well he implied it, just look at his several few posts). Runescape is a time-consuming game no doubt, thats why I suggested that if time is important to him; why waste it on an online game? Go do things that are important to your time, like school, working out, work etc.

By all means, its his own decision. and he can just play casually or choose to play a few hours per day/per week if he wants to. And no doubt to create a good runescape account (maxed etc.) takes a lot of time.

 

Everyone on this thread ignores the RWT aspect. Most of you are here to scam, buy/sell GP, or simply find a way to make the $$.
Look at it like that and... You could always skill, or level up combat, and either loot well or collect resources and maybe make a dollar or 2 a day while having a good time.

 

Try it and if you enjoy it play it in your spare time. I wanted to start playing when I was bored during my holidays but then school came around and I just though "Hey, I could be working out and doing something that benefits myself not playing a game online that literally has no real life benefits". I understand with bots you can train up your combat then just Pk or whatever you really enjoy.

 

Don't play. Waste of time.

 

Explain but? One could say that playing on a RSPS is considered as a waste of time, yet you play it everyday?

If you enjoy it then do it. If you aren't able to manage your time effectively then stay away from rs

 

The game hasn't really changed much, skilling for me is just as fun.

If you enjoyed quests and skilling, it is still the exact same game apart from graphical updates and the odd update that makes things a bit easier.

 

Questing is one thing, but most of the time playing RS is done by doing repetitive tasks over and over. This time is absolutely wasted in your life. You learn nothing new, you get no new skills from it. Think about it.
