Edit:
While you wait I'll explain the power button more. The power button doesn't press at all, it's jammed. However you can go into "Accessibility Options" and turn on "Assistive Touch" this opens up a button on the touch screen that can be used to lock the phone. And if the phone turns off you can plug it into a power source and it will turn on again. I was told the power button can be replaced free by apple but the phone is functional without it. I used the phone for around two months with no button.
