Jagex' logic

- Forget about the veteran players who don't care about graphics.
- Spice up the graphics as hard as they can to bring in more 10 year olds.

I just did the druidic ritual quest on my new main that I started and I was really disappointed..

I have to agree, and PKing is utter drivvle now too.

 

The game just gets worse and worse, That's my only view.

 

it's so dumb.
and the armor update, they didn't even update all the armor so why bother updating it in the first place? ugh, I had my hopes up for rs2006 but it looks like that's just a dream. I'm addicted to this pile of garbage that they have turned RuneScape into.

Jagex only cares about cocky little kids nowadays. Everyone in RS now is basically either a douche or a noob.

 

I concur. The only reason I would start playing again is if the injection bots come back and I can make some money off accounts.

 

Alright, so why don't all of you just stop playing it? It's a video game, not life.

 

Everyone who's addicted to the game at one point tried to stop playing, it's really hard to. You almost always come back one way or another. Even if it's just flipping rares in the G.E.

 

You forgot that they also sliced their profits in half by getting rid of bots, which are now back? :L

 

i always play low detail because high detail reminds me of world of warcraft..

RuneScape will ultimately fail if they don't update graphics to compete with other high-end MMORPG's. Stop being so god damn selfish about your own desires for the game and look at the big picture.

 

This has been the case for about 2years..

 

* Did some random unneeded interface / graphics updates
* Removed in-game dicing
* Broke massive botting

 

I still don't see why any of this is bad. Jagex needs to push many more major game play updates if they want to get anywhere
In fact, the best thing they could do right now is add first person view and WASD controls

 

Yah, The new graphic updates suck really bad. I would rather they open up a
"runescape 2006" It would be a separate game where it was like runescape in 2006. That would be epic.

 

Breaking reflection = Good update.
Graphical updates = Good update.

@ I don't bot: Banning millions of bots that dick around in f2p doesn't slice your profits. Botting was killing this game.

Removing dicing = Excellent update, now make it bannable.

 

Rofl, I guarantee that everyone in this thread would do the exact same updates if they were in charge of RS. Things like this move the game forward, if you just leave an MMO to rot it will become stagnant and boring.

Graphical updates = competing with other MMOs, which IS a problem, whether you guys see it or not
Breaking bots = good for legit players, adds longevity to the game by extending the amount of time players actually play
GP Resets = again, adds longevity to the game so people can't simply buy gold and reach end-game status quickly

You guys may not agree with everything Jagex does but that doesn't make it a wrong decision. I realize this is a cheating/black market community, but can you guys seriously cut down on the bitching about Jagex fixing exploitable problems? Let's be honest, the game is better off without bots. Everything is more profitable, the people who are mad are just butthurt that they can't farm like a measly $50 a month worth of GP now. If you can't play the game without bots, don't play at all. It's that simple.. Using the "veteran players don't care about graphics" excuse is lame as fuck, if you really didn't care about graphics then a new update shouldn't matter. Everyone is a little xenophobic, but everyone also adjusts... graphical updates will become second nature a month after their release, stop bitching.

The only things worth bitching about are the problems with crashing or glitches honestly.
