Infraction Warning

^ I'm pretty sure some sort of plugin exists for VB for that purpose, but like many other things we probably wouldn't see this until the upgrade.

 

You can get infractions for pretty much posting something you're not allowed to post, most of the time it's spam. If you follow the rules and the thread stickes, then you should get infracted.

 

I didn't read through this whole thread, but I'd like to voice my vote for some kind of noticeable infraction notification system. I understand it's up to us to be aware of the rules, and thus follow them. However, mistakes do happen and we should be outwardly notified that we have broken the rules and have been infracted because of it. It's kinda shitty receiving secret infractions, then finding out that you have a ban because you've accumulated infractions you didn't even know you had.

Nothing against you mods, you guys do a great job keeping this forum clean and running smoothly. But some kind of notification or warning system could really help tell people they are doing something wrong and need to stop it immediately or pay the consequences.

 

Fair point, a way for users to be automatically notified when they receive an infraction would be great, although we probably wouldn't see such a thing until after the VB4 upgrade. One check on your user profile each day does the trick for me, and I don't get infractions very often.
