Your most heartbreaking moment.

This thread is to discuss your all time lowest moments in Runescape. It can be anything that devistated you. I'll start it off by sharing mine.

Many years back I grinded merching until I had enough to buy a purple partyhat. At this time it was 6m. So I traded my bank for it, and finished my outfit off in black armor, chain and scim when they were thought to be rare.

Well, when I thought I was quitting I sold it for at the time what was about 13m. Some years late I come back to see they were worth several hundred million, and now, over a billion.

 

When I got keylogged for 272m.

 

I had to think for a minute as I've had many low moments in Runescape. But the most devastating event that happened to me was in 2005.

I was 10 years old. Back then I knew only one method of making money, mining essence. Saradomin god armor was in its prime and I so badly wanted it. I mined essence for weeks and weeks making around 35k/hr (seems like nothing these days) but back then it was the only decent money making method I noob like me knew about. Finally I made the 1.5M for the platebody. Now I bought it and soon grew tired of it after becoming members for my first time. So off to varrock west bank world 1 I went. I found a level 3 buying the plate for 5M gold and thought it was my lucky day! Only to find out that he switched the 5M to 50,004 at the last second in the trade window. As soon as I accepted that second trade screen I knew something was up. I felt so ashamed with myself and even cried a bit. Needless to say I quit for a whole year before finally coming back.

I miss the old rs days.

 

When I got hacked for 150m which i made legitly in the last week of bounty hunter. After that i resorted on rwting. After getting that rich i couldn't play rs anymore.. i wanted rsgp game isnt fun anymore.. I used to have fun in the game with 5m now i cant have fun if i dont have 1b+

 

I was in the wilderness with my old main with a few other friends at the black knight fortress. We we're multi pking and after a few kills and some decent loot, green dhide, rune, ect.. we decided to look for more people to kill so we traveled out to the hill giants. After searching for 20 or so minutes with no luck, I decided to go. The next day, I forgot I was still in the wilderness and when I logged into my account I was piled by three pures and with 10 or so lobbies in my invent, I died almost instantly. At the time, I had never been member and this was my entire bank, full rune, rune scimitar and whatever else I had pked (which was a lot for me in 2006).

Heartbreaking lol.

 

My goal was to get a Purple party back in december 2011 and i had a 500m bank so i decided to stake it all so i could have 1b instead and buy my purple but then i got glitched and it was the most horrible day in my runescape carrer lol

(Ps The pot was off and the guy i was fighting used it so)

 

lol the many times I've been cleaned on staking, my worst was for 4.7b in under 30 minutes, second worst was when I started from 20m on a tuesday months ago, got to 1b that friday, got cleaned to 100m, rebuilt to 1b and got cleaned the monday of the next week.

 

When I got lured with my full bandos :/

 

I was bored one day and I had a 30M bank.. and I discovered dicing.. needless to say about a week of hosting and dicing with a huge clan I was at 425M.. then I saw one guy offering Torva plate for like 210M.. First roll was like 50 and I peed little bit then redid it for bank.. rolled 99 and I sold it for like 575M.. Then won against Win All Day for 1100M then lost it all when I thought I could do it again.. back to 100M bank again

 

I was shocked when I discovered my pure ranger had cancer.....

 

Getting lured by older brother of ex-classmate for Full Mithril back in 06-07. I remember buying it for like 15K in Al-Kharid. Was an extremely huge noob back then.

 

Got cleand for 40b staking in 1 night
or
Lent my friend my close to max range tank because he wanted to come back to rs and he got rid of my ccb

God knows how many years ago but it was around the time Santa hats were 20m and getting my first mil was a distant goal. I got in the habit of searching for people drop trading to try get some money and I went upstairs the room outside west varrock bank and just saw a 126 log out. A 126 was very rare then so I was getting excited, then a level 30 odd logged in the spot so a clear drop trade. He panic'd and logged out to go back to the main and pick it all up, I was standing a spot or two off as I didn't know the exact spot and before the main logged back in a Santa disc of returning and I think it was a blue mask appeared on the floor as I got a mine random. Needless to say didn't get one and returned from the event to find him laughing at me swapping hats. It was horrible.

Another one was just after the release of that swarm random that would hit you for 1 or 2. There was a guy in rune and blue mask doing that tease where you let the swarm hit you to 1hp then run. At this time masks had no credible value so he would keep the rune and drop the mask. There was about 5 of us hoping he would die, he got to 1hp then went to leave but the swarm jumped and hit that glorious 1 and he killed him, I got a cabbage I think....

 

Got lured for full rune in 05, lol.

Edit: Also, sold 5 Santa hats for 12M each in 08

 

When my friend and i were making a pure together, i put 160m on it, a few days later, the acc was wiped clean...

 

When my original account got banned definitely

 

I bought Red P Hat for 1.9M back in the day, saved my ass off and traded the Red and basically my entire bank for a Blue (blue was worth like 12M at the time).

Held onto the blue for ages, but I always trusted people with it. Would lend it out to friends, etc. and always got it back. When the value was at about 500M, a friend of like 3 years 'borrowed' it for a screenshot and logged with it.

Many years later, I saved up enough to get a white (White P Hat was like 180M at the time, they had been crashing hardcore because of the GE, etc.). I held onto the white for awhile, then a merch friend told me P Hats were starting to go south. I was quitting RS (temporarily at that time), and decided to sell the white (for like 350M). When I came back to RS, it was worth bills.

 

Back in '06 I met a ranger at Moss Giants, I thought I could kill him, and wen't pking with him.
Once I attacked him, I realised he was better then me, I tried to escape, but unfortunately...
I lost me mithril plate, legs, rune scim & full helm.
I did let go a few tears, I was nine.
