Paypal - Gifting VS Chargebacks, how can I tell what method I have been paid in?

This is the paypal confirmation e-mail I get amongst being paid. However it says I've been sent money, it does not tell me how.

Should the "reversal" warning be included in the e-mail if it was gifted? Because I thought you could not charge back gifts.

For future reference also, how do I tell if my buyer is using the gift option?

Using Paypal you are always risking a chance of getting chargebacked this is why the bigger gold sellers use other payment methods.

 

Paypal have always told me that you cannot chargeback a "gift", which is why I prefer payment in this method..

I have not been able to chargeback any previous scams by gifting which is awful, because they still advertise chargebacks.

 

Every single paypal payment method is chargeback-able, Including gift, People pay by gift then go and chargeback claiming they unauthorized the transaction on there paypal account and they get the money back, So this is why barely anyone big takes paypal.

It is not paypal that does the chargeback, it is the credit card company leading to paypal doing a reversal so they don't get screwed out of money. Since you can use credit card to send as a gift, a gift is capable of being chargebacked.

 

To be the safest what I do sometimes is that during a transaction, even if I'm using a mm, I ask the guy to dispute the payment he did to the mm then cancel it so he can't redispute it. That way it's not guaranteed becuase of credit card, but it's pretty close.

 

So I am forever susceptible to chargebacks?

What about the month after the credit card has been paid off, can someone chargeback the following month?

 

just make sure they put in the note it was for virtrual goods, make them to a claim and cancel staking they recived intangible runescape virtrual goods
