My rant on Religion.

Alright folks, I'm bored and I'm waiting for my drink to get her from Mickey Dees. So I've taken the time to type out this short essay style statement about some things. First off, if you're a follower of a religion, and claim to be that (i.e. Christian, Jewish, Methodist, Catholic, Muslim, Lutheran, At have you). Then by the laws of that said religion, you must believe in everything it tells you. Now I'm just going to use Christianity as an example, simply because that's the only religion I know anything close to extensive knowledge about. So.. If you call yourself a "Christian" then you MUST believe in the bible. If you don't it's a sin, you can't pick or choose which parts you like to believe in which is what I see EVERYONE do. What I see is people claiming to be a "devoted" christian, and then don't follow the teachings of the bible, let alone KNOW them, with a few exceptions. That's like saying a recovering alcoholic is following a 12 step program, yet he skips steps 3,7, and 9. It doesn't work.. and it's not true. The 10 commandments are not the only rules you have to follow, and it's sad to see people saying they follow rules they don't even know about. I'm not against religion, I myself don't follow any one set religion, but for those who claim too, please don't lie. Here's an example... in Leviticus 20:13 it states " If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.". Ok, so that is a VERY popular passage brought up about why the bible says being gay is an abomination( I don't believe it but that's not the point). SO, I know christian people who will say yes, proof being gay is against god, well so you believe that word for word? It's not open to interpretation in anyway, they will always say "No, it's literal" Ok, fair enough. So the Bible isn't open for interpretation, these are called bible literalists. Yet.. All the bible literalists I know don't take most of it literally, most of them will say being gay is wrong they can change, but even in that passage and others it says they must be put to death, I don't see any people killing gays, and to let people sin when you have the power to stop it is also a sin, so these Bible literalists are sinning themselves. To further prove that point... in Leviticus 11:9-12, the same exact chapter as the previous passage says this.

"9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.

10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:

11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.

12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you."

Now this isn't up for interpretation, it's been agreed upon what it means, it's an ABOMINATION to eat crustaceans, this includes shrimp, lobster, crabs, crawdads, krill, ANYTHING that lives in the ocean and that doesn't not have scales, that also means, shark, whale, eel, and ALOT of other things. Now I don't know ANYONE who follows this, but it's weird they use ABOMINATION, with the passage about gays, and with the passage about eating sealife. But these people say the one about being gay is a worse then the other.. who is anyone but God himself to say which sin is worse then any other? I'll tell you, random prejudice reverends and pastors, and clergymen who campaign. The same people who used bible passages to justify enslaving millions of Africans. Yet now millions of african americans forget about this, and go believening this next era of propaganda these people pull out of their ass, now read carefully guys, I'm not knocking religion IN ANY WAY, this isn't about what is true or false, it's about what's happening, and what's a fact. Also, there is a passage in the Chapter Luke that says "Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys." I don't know anyone who sells all there possessions and give them to the poor, giving you 5 dollar donation to the church, or a homeless man is not what the bible meant.. It's sickening. I've gotten bored of writing this although I intented to write more I'm cutting it short for now.
