Stuck with 50k coal ore. Advice?

Hi. I bought coal ore for merching when it was prices at 319 an ore. I paid 317 an ore and now the ore is worth 312gp. yesterday the price was 315 and its dropped 3gp over night. should i hold onto the coal till prices go up again (no way of telling when) or should i get rid of it as soon as possible.

I put about 15.85m into it and now at 312 gp/ore its valued 15.6m and its not even selling for the min price.

I dont need the cash but it would sure as hell be nice to have it to merch it. Should i just take the hit and use the money better next time?

sell them and flip, and you will have made your loss back easily

 

Don't worry, They will soon come back in price unless they suddenly become usefull, some point in time some people are going to need them just wait till they hit the same or more.

 

put them in for 320gp if your that worried or just wait because the ore will rebound

 

Buy some Addy ore and start smithing to 99?
OT: Hold it there is every chance it could go back up, don't bother dumping it, you will kick yourself if it goes back up.

 

Double exp weekend is near,just hold on to them bro.

 

While your waiting for it to go back up you could always buy some iron ore and smelt out iron bars to do something with it and also have most of it in G.E selling at 319gp

 

If your worried just dump.. But it will rebound I suggest keeping if your not that tight on money.

 

like FCD said, if you're not tight on cash.. just keep it. you never know man.

 

You can sell off slowly pretty easily, just don't go all at once.

The other week I dumped 10m gold ore and the price barely went down from me. Just be patient.

 

Yeah, wait and sell them when the price is higher, check the grand exchange on runescape to know the price dude

Coal is already super bloated in the first place...best off not to buy something like that since the margins are very low.

But as others have said...wait for bxp. Should be a slight rise in addy bars (2-3 weeks prior) and therefore coal should rise (slightly). Might be able to sell for 320 is my guess.

Effigy update is what hurt coals prices. Less demand for cannoning cave crawlers = less demand for cballs = less demand for steel bars = less demand for coal.

 

Keep it, wait another a couple days.

 

alright ill keep it as i do not need the cash. plus investments help me from spending bank. Thanks everybody for their thoughts

 

Save them.. They are going to get back up soon, trust me

 

Just sell it asap. Rather thank losing more, sell now
