Should Marijuana be Legal?

I don't oppose the legalisation of marijuana. I'm for it - I'm just saying weed isn't a perfectly harmless drug that everyone makes it out to be. It does have negative effects and they suck.

 

Legalize it, and worry about way more important things.

 

I smoke bud pretty much 9/10 days at the moment, although, I wouldn't even consider myself addicted. I have chosen to smoke this much because I find it enjoyable, and I have aswell as all my friends I smoke with experienced a crash.

I tend to get if I start smoking an run out of buds before I am ready to sleep or something I tend to feel real shit (Unless i'm pre-occupied and don't really notice).

And then you have greening out, only happened to me twice but fuck that sucks :'(

There have been times when I get super blazed and something happens (I can't find my Zune, I see cops approaching, etc.) that totally kills my high and makes me feel really shitty. However, when I let the high run its course, I pretty much always just mellow out really nicely.
Thankfully I've never greened out lol

Happened to me 3 times. I couldn't stand up or walk really (didn't have any balance when I tried), it was hard to breathe and I saw all-white.

It should remain illegal. Drugs just leads to problems.

 

Legalization but only able to buy in small quantities? Seems like a good idea to me.

 

To last post: I don't think small quantities would make a large difference

I think it should be legal but only in specific area.
What I mean is that creating special places where you can smoke pot.
I have talked with my friends about this before. Perfect example would be a small island where there is high security check on people leaving the islang after having some good time

 

Should be, Its just the same as alchohol really just as a "Drug" substance.

 

If it becomes legal, it would create jobs. And we wouldn't have to spend money importing it from other countries. Plus, it can be used for more medical purposes. But on the other side, it kills your brain so... Not sure.

 

Marijuana is just like alcohol, and cigarettes, so I personally think it should be legal there's a lot we can do with it, but I also believe there should be an age limit just the same with the previous mentioned substances

do you have any facts to base this statement? alcohol is legal and it "destroys brain" more than marijuana does.

 

I'm against all drugs.
Caffeine, alcohol, paracetamol, marijuana...

All of these make your immune system, nervous system etc. more reliant on them. Caffeine's effects wear down, and you start craving it. Alcohol leads to worse judgement.

Marijuana does all both of these. Sure, it may have a nice effect on your body for a while, but potentially it can do so much damage. One of my best friends' dad has been put into a mental hospital, and is not to be released until his brain gets over the effects that marijuana had on him (he became bipolar, aka. manic depression). Granted, this was a special case, and it was probably due to his genes that he reacted so violently to it, but still, this does happen to a fair few people - 1/10, I believe.

Don't start thinking that I'm just hating on marijuana. As you saw in my list, I also dislike paracetamol. The trouble is, with drugs, that humans are becoming more and more reliant on them, whether it is to cope with stress, or to get up in the morning, or maybe even get to sleep.

Sure, many people take drugs to stay alive etc. but is it really right to grant them life? Naturally, we should not be living this long, and it's causing the world's population to constantly surge. I say, to quote Dickens, "let them die, and decrease the surplus population."

I think I went a bit off track there. Oh well.

Too many people smoke it for it to be illegal anymore.

 

That is probably the worst reason you could use for trying to legalize marijuana.

 

The fact it is a medicine is one of the reasons I believe it should come Legal, and alcohol illegal.

 

As much as I want to say yes. No it wrecks your mind.
