Unless you want to make these official, this shouldn't be a suggestions. Go ahead and make a tournament if you want, but it would have to be unofficial.

I'm against it. You can easily use pokesav and make the pokemon have higher stats than it's allowed.

I don't think he means to use the Nintendo DS to play. There are online websites which host it, similar to Yu-Gi-Oh, for example "Pokemon Online", which seems to be the most popular one.

From there, you can choose 6 Pokemon, from any Generation (although, since the OP is suggesting only Black and White, it would be Gen 4, I think), and all of these Pokemon are Level 100, and have the possibility of using any move, suitable to their type (although only 4 can be chosen for battles).

Since it's hosted on server-side, you can't change the Pokemon's details...
    I think.

I am pretty sure that since he said Black and White, inferring that it would be done via DS wi-fi battles.

If that is the case then I am 100% against it because it is very easy to obtain "hacked" pokemon, or as Cosrob stated, ones that used PokeSav to get higher stats.

Although you don't really need support to make a contest, if you want to make one go right ahead. It is nice to see newer people trying to take an active role in the community, and there are no rules against it.

Maybe he did mean via. DS, but it was suggestions, and suggestions can be adapted, and enhanced ^^

Yeah, but going onto a website, similar to DuellingNetwork, only for Pokemon, would mean that hacking wouldn't be possible :)
Plus, there'd be no need for training, as every Pokemon is automatically level 100.

Oh please, I would love this.
As long as it's on a hosting site like DuellingNetwork for Pokemon.

DS can easily be hacked for pokemon sites, but hosting sites should be secured.
    At least I think so.

I couldn't join the Yu-Gi-Oh tournament because I didn't know how to play :p, but I'd very much be up to a Pokemon tournament.

in black and white its really hard to cheat via wifi, because your pokemon get reset to level 50 to the appropiate stats

There is always a way to cheat on Pokemon DS, as all of the actual Pokemon data is stored in the cartridge, rather than via. the Wi-Fi server, and changing info in the cartridge is relatively easy. Also, there are ways to bypass the Wi-Fi patches.

I think The Dealer is right when he says we should use an online website, its safer, more fair, and more people will be able to participate. I myself do not have pokemon black or white, or a DS for that matter, but I love participating in contests.

I think x339 is also right that accessibility would be an issue. I'm pretty sure that not everyone has a DS, and not everyone that has a DS has Pokemon Black or White, however everyone has internet, unless they connect to Sythe through some wierd Spock-mind-connection technique.

We could play on an online simulator like pokemon online or shoddy battle

    http://pokemon-online.eu/

    I'd rather a generation 4 battle (HG/SS)

Sorry, but hacked pokemon are too easily to come by.
