Gold4Fun Account Recovered

Recently I have acquired a Runescape account from Gold4Fun but a few days ago it was recovered. I contacted their customer support and they told me that they will recover it and I had to wait for a day. When I returned a day later, I was asked to wait another 5 hours. 5 hours later, I was told that they 'need more time' and I was to wait 10 hours more.

I trust they are being honest with me, and it is the original owner of the account whom recovered it. I am patient, however, shall the occasion ever arise that I would be wanting my money back, how will I ever properly submit a payment dispute to Paypal?

I have read the Paypal FAQ and it seems there is no buyers protection for virtual goods. I did not purchase the account with my credit card, it was with Paypal Credit that had been topped up by my bank account. So calling my credit card company is out of the question.

I need advice on how to properly submit a payment dispute so I can restore my funds. I did pay over a hundred for the account.

They will just keep bugging the account owner, Just ring paypal its the fastest way to get it sorted.

They have been known to scam a lot, your best bet is to probably try and get your money back if the original account owner is on a recovery spree. I would probably try and ring PayPal, although I wouldn't mention it's for a virtual item, they will just instantly say no like they did to me when I tried to dispute.

 

They keep stalling for time because they are most likely having trouble recovering the account back. To be honest I don't see you getting it back.

 

It's happened to me before too. Doubt you will be getting it back. I spent $450 on an account and got taken back off me and they gave me an account worth $120. Pretty bad service there to be honest.

Obvious employee is obvious. No one around here uses grammar like that, and claims that Gold4Fun will fix it.

As everyone said you have to go through PayPal as they will keep stalling and never want to pay you back.

 

Recently, I got the account back and it was strangest thing because now I have a 2 month recurring membership and none of the items or gold was stolen. I will keep this thread up just in case anything else funny happens in the coming weeks/months.

Is it usual for them to give free Runescape memberships with the accounts you purchase?

I sold my 2 accounts to gold4fun like a month ago and up to now everything is fine, you need to understand that they didnt create ALL those accounts.

Many persons sell their accounts to them and there are a lot of scammers around that after receiving the payment, they just recover it. They should eventually refund you with the money or some other account

 

This is completely false. You shouldn't make statements when you're clueless as to the actual situation. Gold4Fun are by no means scammers, their poor customer support and miscommunication is what leads to most issues.

The membership was most likely the original owner. I suggest you transfer the gold, as if it was recovered the first time, chances are high it will be recovered again.

 

I believe you can ask for another account of the same value if the account that you have bought got recovered. Try asking them about it.
