What kind of bread do you like?

Well, this might seem like a weird question, but I personally, love cooking..i am pretty good at it too (conceded and stuffs too you know ;p)

Anyways, lately I have been baking..I started baking bannock bread (as I grew up on it being native american) ...Got my bannock down pat...but it wasn't really that great unless I was making tacos or something (indian tacos) because it is a very heavy, sweet bread with a slow cooking process...

So I started reading up on white bread recipes...most of them didn't turn out too well (added the salt too early in most cases and destroyed the yeast =/ )

but recently I started making this Tuscan style white bread (no salt)..it's really fluffy and delicate, plus it tastes great if you eat it with something salty or maybe some salted butter, also it's great for soups and such..basically goes well with anything and doesn't compete with the flavours...

i plan on trying ciabatta bread because it looks awesome...But it is complicated as fuck and i am just getting used to basic bread recipes..

Here is the recipe for my current favourite bread (pieced together from various recipes...basically did my own thing until it tasted good, don't plan on anyone actually being interested in it, but w/e)

2 1/2 Cups Warm Water
2 Tablespoons of dry active yeast
1 tablespoon of sugar
1/4 cup of shortening
6 1/2 cups of flour

So, my question to you is...What is your favourite type of bread?

If you say something like wonderbread I'ma smack you =P

 

Favorite type of bread... Hmm, rye, and bannock is gross.

 

I like Baguettes. Like French bread. Uhm I also like wheat bread.

i personally like to make banana nut bread and if im making a sandwich or toast i like white or potato bread

 

I love all bread. I especially like rye and Hawaiian sweet rolls.

My dad is an avid bread maker. He makes a Swedish rye that is really good. He also makes peasant loafs, which are pretty much round loaves with the cuts on top it is really good.

Pumpernickel dipped in spinach dip. Although without dip pumpernickel bread is too plain..

 

Garlic bread and cinnamon raisin bread

 

There's off-topic then theres this thread non the less when im eating bread i usually eat wholemeal not that im a fan but so i maintain healthy nutrition.

 

Our local supermarket makes some kind of sandwich bread with powdered milk and butter. They call it Wonderful Bread *Dodges slap* and it's really good

Other than that, I like baguettes alot as well

any fresh bakery bread, light rye, and pumpin seed
my most favorite is banana bread but that seems like more of a slice or cake than bread

 

Rye bread is my favorite with a but of honey.

 

Don't know they type, but I love fresh baked rolls with butter. ahhhh
