I only got hacked once, 2 years ago, via a java drive-by. It wasn't as viral as it is today. Everyone knows it now, so it's not that affective, but still many people fell for it and gets hacked =/

Maybe try including how to remove them like sandbox, might make it more popular.

    A tip you can add:

If you know you're infected, just pull out your internet plug for the time being.
As they can access files on your computer etc aswell.

Just download anti malwarebytes and such via another computer, and put it on the infected one with a USB stick / ext. hard drive etc.

    Understanding hacking attempts

Really good guide so far :)

I was just reading another thread about the abundance of people who get "hacked" all the time, and how easy it is to avoid such things if you are careful and cautious. I think this guide will help alot of people who have no idea what a Java Drive by even is, and teach them how to deal with such a situation.

Looking forward to the rest of the guide mate!

Yep your living in the stone age, not to far from now, when your browser finds a malicious page, your antivirus will block the attack and attempt to gain access to the host that the offending file is on and attempt to obliterate the threat from the internet at that level

Thanks for explaining that! I actually almost did that once but I've been very savvy as of lately. Now there's one thing I don't understand, what the heck is DDOS'ing? I've been hearing that a lot especially when I'm bossing

I also recommend that, if ever infected use malware bytez or just do a complete reformat. Also, 99% of the links you see being spammed in the duel arena are Java drive-bys.

Thanks, i always looked out for the supposed Steams requesting Java but didn't think it was possible on other sites such as making imageshack very clever.

Also, it may be worth mentioning that people walking around populated places spamming (typically with some annoying, flashy autotyper) things about streaming a drop party/staking/dungeoneering/PK'ing glitch, telling you to visit a certain site, are just about never without malicious intent. Especially when that site that they're telling you to visit asks your permission to use java....

TL;DR: don't go to owne3d.tv.com, 0wn3d.tv.com, live_stream.com, and whatever other fake streaming sites there are being advertised on YouTube videos/duel arena/GE.
