Inappropriate Signatures

I will agree that while browsing Sythe at school, I worry about running into sigs like that all the time. Being in a lab surrounded by other people, and a teacher, makes them a pretty hard thing to deal with. I wouldn't mind them being cleaner either.

As for <3's argument, everyone has free time at work and school. No need to try to be a smartass and tell them to not get on Sythe because of where they are.

 

Whenever I use Sythe in College, I just knock off the Signatures, problem solved. I don't have any problem with using it at home though, however I can see how this is a problem for people using it in school/college/workplace.

 

<3 was probably referring to when your on sythe not in your free time. If your on sythe at work/school in your free time and your boss looks at what your doing (if he's even around in your free time) you could easily have blocked signatures. No matter the case, you choose if you get in trouble, not the people with 'in appropriate' signatures.

I don't have an issue with this sig or similar - and support the user taking action by 'ignoring' the individual on Sythe instead of asking for a global rule change.

 

Going to close this. Will bring up the idea of having an "Ignore users signature" similar to the "Ignore User" function with Matthew. Aside from that, this is turning into nothing more than a circular argument.


Edit: Also wanted to add, if this does get implemented, we won't see it until vb4.
