Anime / Manga Subforum (Under Off-Topic)

Hi there,

I recently came to the conclusion there's no Anime / Manga Sub-Forum on this Forumboard. I 'd like to see a special Subforum added called "Anime / Manga" under "Off Topic".

In the Anime / Manga Subforum we can talk about Anime shows, such as Naruto, Bleach, Hajime no ippo, Deathnote, Soul Eater, Fairytale and so much more.

Also we could discuss the latest episodes, as in manga and anime.


If you think this is a good idea, then please support me within this thread.

I like the idea, but it's really how much this would get used. If it was used a lot then I wouldn't see a problem adding it to the forum, it's just I don't feel it would be very popular.

 

It would be very easy to add it to the forum, but I feel it would not be popular and not used. No support from me.

 

Even if there's a small amount of people who could discuss different episodes of manga/anime together it would be used. (Not by many, but by few)

I'd say give those people (me included) a forum where we can discuss this type of thing.

If there was an Anime section, You could pile all anime related stuff into it such as anime video games, cos-playing, AMVs, etc.

@Imagine - The Movies/Television section is mostly used for speculations / duscussion on the latest movies / upcoming movies and series.

We'd like to see a Anime / Manga section where could post AMV's (Anime Music Video's), cosplay outfits/events, Video gaming, episodes of the latest manga / anime.

There is literally no discussion of this anywhere on the forum, if there was, then I could understand having its own section, but there isnt.

 

I quote myself, from the same suggestion few months back:

If you want to discuss anime and/or manga, create a thread. If people are interested and the scale of discussion outgrows the already-existing subforums, then a new board is welcome. Otherwise, it'll just go the way of Diablo 2 forum.

 

As the others have stated above me, there just isn't enough discussion to start its own section. I think the concept is good, but based on the community that we have formed here on sythe, I doubt anyone would really be interested in posting there.

I suggest that you start posting threads about it, and it might end up sparking a lot of discussion. If anime/manga becomes a more popular topic then I am sure it could become its own section. As for now, there just isn't enough activity on that topic.

Full support, this would also bring out actual artists who would post their art work. It's a good idea I think. especially since all we see are signatures which is essentially blending other peoples work together and adding some lighting. Which to me doesn't seem too much like art unless it's done entirely yourself.

Hey, I would like a section of Fluffy Stuffed Animals and Care Bear discussion.

The facts are that the activity has to justify the section, and currently there is no anime or manga discussion, just as there is little to no care bear discussion. You can't just build a section on two or three people, if you want an anime section go to an anime forum - because we aren't a group of Japanophiles. As X339 says try to spark some discussion and if it gets big then maybe a section could be made but as it stands there is no discussion. Just like the guy who suggested an RP section - why suggest a section when you see no activity of that form already. Just because you make a section doesn't mean a bunch of people are going to come out of the woodworks to post in it. Look at all the section below GFX. Those are barely active sections, we don't need anymore of those.

I vote no support, I enjoy NOT seeing that sort of content on this website. Plus I have yet to see it discussed anywhere on the site to begin with... Let's not tempt the anime/manga fanboys to Sythe
