P2P pking, what defence level shall I get?

The account is currently 1 defence, however I was speaking to some pkers in game yesterday my level and they all had 20 defence, and therefore could wear initiate and mystic etc. They could not stop to tell me that 1 defence is so bad in truth.

Basically I need some opinions, should I get 20 defence? And if so does anyone know which def quests should be done first?
Stats are 93 str and 86 Range, 52 pray just incase that helps.

Another note is, im currently 60 attack, which I did not quest when I got it. If i were to do the pre quests for monkey madness, I would get 61 attack. This is not a combat level but it is annoying to have 61. Should I just suck it up and get 61 attack so I can use d scimmy and chin.

 

Stay 1 def for now. If you get bored of it and feel as if 20 def levels would help, then go for it.

Usually, maxed 1 def pures turn into 20 def because they have an advantage when in clan wars for tanking and using mystic for a better mage bonus etc.

If you're just going to 1v1 and the occasional multi trip, then stick with 1.

Go for 61 att, the only reason I would say to not get it is if you're going to mainly range and use claws/dds/g maul for spec wep.

If you do fight with melee fairly often, do MM for a d scim, it works wonders on other pures.

Sure, 61 attack is ugly, but it's really worth it in the long run. Plus you get a nice training spot for range.

 

As for chinning, start MM but dont finish it. Chin to your desired level, the finish the quest.

 

I mean its the prequests that would get me 61 attack, if im going to start MM to chin, im going to finish it there and then.

 

How did you perform against the 20 defencers?

I would not get any higher def then 1 and also, I would not do the MM for scimitar. You dont need it. You have good ranged, your main damage should be done with it I believe and the DDS should be used for finish. Ive never really liked initiate for pures. Looks like something resetters and messed up pures would get. It has the same Prayer bonus as Monks robe(talking about the top). Defence bonus is worse then black d'hide(talking about pants only obviously).

If you were to really do it, get Rune Gloves.

I got bored of 1 def( well 3 but still) so i went 20... worst decision ever... i hate my account because they only thing worth doing now is making him a turmoil zerker but i dont have 150m for the turmoil....

 

20 Def would be good.

 

Could still make him a void pure. Dont even need to quest that much.

 

20 is useless ,stay 1 or get 45 or 70.

 

Stay 1 def, or become a prosselyte pure, 20 def is kinda bad.

 

Stay at 1 defence, there much better than initiate pures. If you really want defence go with 30, 40, 45.

 

I would personally get 20 to get mystic as then atleast you have a bit of protection for your pure L.

 

Getting defence will ruin your account, believe me. Atleast max it out at 1 def first.

 

If you feel at a disadvantage and its showing sure, Level Defence.
