When will it be legal...

this is one of the many reasons why i might be moving out there. There is nothing for me where im living now and my lifes shit. So i'm really wanting to move out there and start doing things i love

Weed is illegal because of traditions.

A lot of the new generation have a much different mind set about weed and once the new generation gets into power we will see a decriminalisation in weed (atleast).

I'm just curious as to how long the UK governments argument that cannabis is a gateway drug will last.

Also, with all the new research about how cannabis is a 'medical mirical' everything is just pointing into weed being decriminalised.


I can see cannabis being decriminalised in the next 10 years, legalisation will take a while.

 

It's legal in my country
The Netherlands. Only thing is you may not have alot of it with you or smoking it on the street. But you can smoke it in coffeeshops. So yeah everyone who hears that i live in the netherlands i get standard pm's like: Omg legal weed. Lol all they care about is weedd

 

i do agree with you, but in the united states obama has said something about pushing for legalazation of marijuana but i was watching him talk on youtube (I really am not a fan of him i was just bored as fuck) but he was removing ALL of the comments about legalizing it...so i mean if he is guna push for it then definatly within the next 10 years, if he is re elected in the presidential election this year.

If you ask me, when the economy gets so bad they need to legalize it to use it as the cash crop it once used to be.

I disagree. For something that is illegal, an arbitrary amount of people smoke it.

 

I'm not here to argue if it should be legal or not - I wanted to know if you like ruining your lungs.

I'm fine with people consuming it by eating it.

 

I say within a few years it will be legalized once a few states do it for real all the states will fall in and eventually the national government will legalize it. I live in Texas we will be one of the last states to legalize it. In the 1950's people could get 10-20 years in jail for even having a small trace of the drug.

 

I smoke, but i am not addicted, and that's what people think a lot, "ah you smoke, you are now addicted! not really..when i am nervous, i smoke marijuana to calm me down, that's all" will take some time to people understand if we legalize marijuana, the illegal drug traffic would stop, and actually the government would profit a lot with that.

 

i also do not understand how people can say that pot is a gateway drug, i've never tryed or wanted to try any other "drugs" because i've smoked pot, it's has no effect and i was able to quit right away with no problems

weed is defiantly a gateway drug. you will understand that it is when youve smoked for a long time every day. it begins to get boring cause you can no longer get that high so people switch to other drugs like i did and i told myself i would never ever touch anuthing but weed.

Hopefully very soon in my state, seeing as the virginia house of representatives have proposed a resolution to study the economic effects of marijuana legalization http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?121+ful+HJ140. I seriously doubt this will go through though, based off the conservative leanings of the reps in my state. I do think marijuana will be legal nationwide in the next 20 years though.
