90m names being deleted

So they are just going to continue freeing up names from where it has stopped I guess...?

 

People could get some pretty rare names out of this. You'd just have to create the account at the right time. I doubt members accounts will get touched.

 

Wonder how they can free up so many names :/

I mean, if some there inactive, but have some work put into them, surely players would be annoyed if they came back to see their username being freed up.

 

Perm banned names and people who haven't logged in for years and years are the type of names that would be freed up. Remember member accounts would probably be left untouched.

 

All hell is going to break lose. I don't think I want to be a part of that anymore. Knowning who's out there atm, I'm pretty sure most of the good names are gonna be taken by a handful of people lol.

 

I will just look for one or two good names them be done with the madness

Thing is will Jagex actually mention when they have cleared the names? Or will they just do it without saying anything? If they posted an announcement, my guess is the account creation servers would crash.

 

Last time they did it without mentioning anything. That's how a select few people managed to get loads of names before more and more people started to catch on.

 

Yeah, it was pretty hard to keep up too
