D Axe Scam?

You have to be fairly silly to fall for this... They just cancel the trade screen, only works if they have the same item as you.

 

Although i've never heard of it before, there is always new abuse's / glitches / bugs that are constantly being found.

I'd stay away from anybody trying to do anything slightly seedy ^_^

 

Pretty clever scam... But you have to be very careless to fall for it.

 

Wow. Thank god I read this and didn't fall for something like this. A few days ago I was finishing my slayer task at dags and some 138 asked me to do this same thing with my Bandos... I told him I didn't know what kind of scam this was, but I wasn't doing it and he just ran away and teled. Reported after that.

 

Dude thats the lending item glitch, read the Runescape forums, its packed with threads of that glitch

 

Somebody tried to do this to my claws. They were like help me transfer some items to my other account please. Your like alright then they are like to trust you, lend me your claws til logout and ill give u my claws so then they cancel real quick and some thing it didnt cancel and that they have their item and their own claws lended when they dont and they trade the claws over to them.

 

I can CONFIRM this works

 

Lol, r u guys for real? This is an old lend item scam. It's not a glitch, just a simple scam that onlys works on unaware players.

When YOU think ur accepting THERE item on second trade screen they decline, thus why there was a recent update of when the other player declines it now says it in red writing for those unaware players.

Then they ask for there item back (which if ur dumb you'll think ur holding there item) and they'll lend the same item.

Very surprised very few of use knew of this

 

I've seen this before anything that seems too good to be true is usually a scam.

 

It's like this:

You put up to loan your d axe
They put up their d axe
both accept, go to the 2nd trade screen
they decline and trade you multiple times so "trade declines" moves up and you can't see it.

They say give me back my d axe, and all in all, you give them yours.

 

Pathetic.
