Ranged Training

So I'm finally getting around to going for 99 ranged after I finish up my summon cape, this will be my last stat to getting all 8 combats being maxed at long last. Obviously I am planning on chinning ranged at Ape Atoll as it is the current fastest method, however as my ranged is embarrassingly lower than all my other cb's because I never really used it (at 75) I am wondering what level I should be before I start chinning.

By that I mean should I get to 80 first before chinning? 85? And how many chins will it take to get from whatever level you suggest to 99 ranged? I will be using reds and money is not a factor. Thanks for your advice!

75 is about the level that people usually start chinning. If you use a cannon and chins you can get up to 500-700k xp/hr. As for how many, I'm not sure. Guessing 30k? (Absolute guess). Good luck

 

From my experience I like getting it up to 80 rather than 75 just for the sake of money. If money is not a factor as you said above go for it at 75!

 

Get 75 at ogres then go chinning. That's how I did on my pure.

 

If money is'nt a problom 75 is fine!

 

Cannon and range at fire giants or something to 80-85 then start unless you have a lot of money to spend. Just start chinning if you do.

 

cannon at cave crawlers, if you like to skill you might aswell get some effigys on the side ?

 

I suggest..

Steel Titan, Chinning and using a cannon at ape atoll.. Can't really get a better combination for maxed xp/hr.. Obviously using maxed ranged bonus gear too.

If i remember correect i started chinning after 75 aswell. i was combat 136.

 

If money is not an issue start chinning immediately. It will cost you 40.8m from lvl 93 so I'm guessing it'll be 80m but it's worth it to max out your cb stats.
