Never heard of Danny Brown before, I really liked that though.

Kinda found this guy by accident a few days ago. His name's Haywyre and apparently his music is mainly dub-style but he's got a track featuring a group called Men of Respect and I thought it was pretty sick

Also got into Deltron's first album recently

    Just flawless

Deltron's debut album was dope as fuck.

Great post, thanks for sharing. BIBLE is a good track that i've liked for awhile now.

For anyone who doesn't have Mos Def's Black On Both Sides, get it immediately.

I've been repping dante on in the music section for months. About time that some other people started catching on

Also get black star (talib/mos def collab)
    yessss

Once you start listening to good hip hop, its hard to go back to weak shit. Good artists just tend to collab and run with other good artists.

Exactly. There are more than enough good artists out there to not need to bother with weak shit.

I can't believe I forgot The Come Up. Probably my favorite Premo beat. And yes, Black Star is definitely a must listen for any Mos Def fan. Which reminds me, he's changing his name to Yasiin starting in 2012 if any of you didn't already know.

    Some others I forgot :)

DEL IS SICK, no matter what alias he is using, im digging this thread for the most part its been all HIP HOP and not cRAP. I really like mos def/black star , roots , immortal technique , dead prez , kool keith / dr octagon basically something just ridiculous with funny well crafted lyrics like kool keith or del or the more serious artists with something to actually say like immortal tech or black star ect. If imma kick it oldschool i break out geto boys!! (im from texxasss)LOVE wutang but who doesnt , i also like dj screw and alot of old screwed up shit, id hardly call it hip hop though .

This guy gets it. Del is nuts. Are you into big daddy kane?

Sorry, I don't think that is "nuff said". OF is bullshit. They aren't original in the slightest. Cudi is also soft as fuck. Listen to some actual hip hop, not just sensationalistic trendy shit.

Why wouldn't you call it hip-hop? DJ Screw created the chopped and screw technique and is a hip-hop legend.

I'm not going to start hating on OF, but you clearly need to listen to more hip-hop. I really can't stand when people can't appreciate more than just a handful of rappers. Just because you happen to really like one artist, doesn't mean you shouldn't listen to others. I guarantee that there are tons of good rappers out there that you will enjoy, but you have to search for them. You can never have too much music to listen to.

    A few more.

Those are just a few I listen to.. To name some others:
lupe, logic, some of 2pac, hopsin, like 1 song of lil boosie, slaughterhouse just to name some. Huge fan of 3 6 mafia.

    Heres a few:

    Fuck Vevo

I realize it's not the kind of hip hop in this thread, but it's still hip-hop.

All of those are better than OF in my opinion. Their lyrics aren't necessarily that bad, but I just can't stand their flows. It's painful to listen to. The rest of those are good, but still really well known. I still think you should find more artists you like if you have any interest.

Out of curiosity, do you listen to any old 3 6 mafia? What do you think of these?

T-Rock was a member of 3 6. I personally think he's one of the most talented rappers out there and has put out over 20 solo albums.
