Obviously there will be a little pain, but what do you expect from a slice I your arm?
It wont be too bad, just inconvenience when you're trying to sleep :p
Plus they'll give you pain killers.

I had something similair but nothing to do with insides of my body.

They injected a needle on my right hand, and they told me to count to 30 or something, and in the middle of doing this I slept. Then when I woke up, my eyes were closed, I opened them then they said "hi", it was an hour later.

You don't get to eat anything for almost a whole day before having this surgery. Nothing scary. I even asked them "what if I woke up?", they replied "No you won't". :D

Lol my post asking if there were any updates got removed? :O oh well. Anyway... Good to hear that it went well... I told you it was no big deal. The throwing up is probably a case-by-case thing though... Let me know how you're doing in a few days or so, alright? :)

So, I've thrown up at least 15 times. I threw up 2 times every time I went to the bathroom to pee in the night, one time I threw up three times. When I throw up, it's like all out, full sink each time. They have been giving me pain meds for my arm, but pain meds have the side effect of itching. I'm more sensitive than the average person, so I'm itching my brains out. They had to give me something for the itch, but it didn't work so they doubled the amount. They also gave me something to relax because I was going mad from the itching. They are also giving e stool softeners and blood thinner shots.

Right now, i have the strongest pain med hooked up to my iv. The stronger the pain med, the worse the itching. I'm allowed to press this button every 10 minutes to give myself the iv. I've been holding back because the itching is too much, so I am suffering the pain as long as I can endure.

Sound shit. Sorry to hear that mate =(
Throwing up is part of the drug side effects. Morphine often has that side effect.

Indeed. I was just thinking about that. A lot of meds will induce vomiting... Try weening yourself bit by bit off the meds and hopefully your vomiting will cease as well. If it were anything out of the ordinary they'd fix it. ;) Hang in there buddy :)

last time i had surgery back in august 2010 because my appendix ruptured (ruptured several hours before it was taken out) all they did was put me to sleep and i woke up 3 hours later feeling fine. thing is though i had to spend 2 weeks in hospital after that cause i kept throwing up bile and couldnt eat for 9 days after and couldnt hardly move because of muscle pain. but when i left on sep 1st i was much better, just had to have my several inch cut cleaned every other day.
i also lost my belly button so i wasnt happy when i first saw my wound.

so long story short you may not be fine straight away but youll get better.
