The only money needed is the money to pay for the ebook, else nothing. No this is not illegal, it's a bug

Seems a bit fishy to me. May I ask why you're only selling it for $5 when if this works as you claim it does, you could be making a shitload?

 

Because it's more than likely a method that was leaked back in like November lol and doesn't work anymore so they're trying to pawn it off on Sythe

I guarantee it's something like

1) Search ebay and cl for pictures including serial numbers
2) Write down serial number
3) Phone Dell and be like "ayo my shit is broken, halp"
4) Get new laptop for free
5) Never send back old one (that doesn't exist) and hope nothing comes of it

 

It is nothing illegal, just a bug.

Is this social-engineering? If so, social-engineering is not allowed on Sythe.

Basically calling Dell going "Oh, my laptop was broken, malfunctioning, etc."
They'll give you a replacement and you ship yours back.
You can then do the "Box Method". Making it look like the mail-man stole it on the way to dell. Then you got yourself a free replacement but never gave them a broken laptop back. Social-engineering.
