I think this sums it up pretty good. I use to have my F2P pkers as females, but didn't act like a girl.

It's only if you yourself are a weirdo and try to chat said girl up. I have this one girl character i always dice with because you'd be surprised how many amateur dicers give me refunds if i act sweet. Some people are desperate man.

 

Though most of you deny it I bet 1/4 of this thread actually claims to be a girl in game. The number of "girls" in game speaks for itself. Over the years of playing I find a majority of real females are always go go go, skill skill skill. I see at least 25 "females" a day hanging around GE. The numbers are so large it only makes sense that some of you are lying. I definitely think a majority of these "girls" have the scammer/cheater/blackhatter mentality. What's a better place than sythe to find all these bundled in one?

 

I have a bad tendency to just assume that the sex of the person is the same as the character they are playing... of course this is not always true, and is a bad assumption, but I can't help thinking like that

So in that context, it is a little weird for me when I found out that a girl is actually a guy, or a guy character is actually played by a girl. But in the end, its just a game and I think you should be able to play as whatever you want, boy or girl. There are many other games where you HAVE to play as a female character, or a male character, regardless of what your sex is in real life.

honistly, me and my irl friends that play RS have all done it at one point. Honistly being a girl character, if you talk and act right arround people they really will think you are a girl and you get WAY more respect than you normally would by players, and yeah respect may not mean some to you people but i think it really helps enjoy the game and find people to talk to instead of just get on make money and get bored.

It doesn't really matter if a guy plays as a girl character(everyone has made a girl character at least once?) as long as they don't start pretending that they are a girl, that's when is gets a bit out of hand.

 

Some guys just need the attention lol.

At one point I began making my characters' genders match their names; feminine names were given female characters.

I don't think it's creepy that they play as characters of the opposite gender, but it is a little weird when dudes pretend to be an actual girl irl then reveal that they aren't >.>

 

I don't find it that weird when guys PLAY as a girl but when they start acting like one and saying they are it gets weird.
