Steam Gave Me A Free Game?

So I have a steam account that I never got on because all I had on it was Civilization 5 and up until just recently I didn't have a computer that played it. I just got on like 10 minutes ago to download it now that I got a computer that will play it and I have Dawn of War 2 on my account... Did they give me a free game? Has this ever happened to anyone?


It would be good to mention, I suppose, that I am unfamiliar with the Steam platform.

Just curious, why not? About the PayPal/gift thing. I only have a few games on Steam, but I kinda wanted to buy a game with PayPal in the future lol and I've gotten a few gifts from people. Just wanna be sure I'm not putting my account in jeopardy

 

^ I was about to ask the same thing because I have recieved lots of gifts and bought like 20 games with paypal :S.

 

Oh cool, I figured it was going to be something more sinister than that. I'm pretty confident my PC + PayPal is secure. And the gifts I received were from trusted gifters here at Sythe
