Question about VPS's!

Hey there, I have really slow internet. It's called hughes net and is comparable to dialup except slightly better download times.

However, I'm capped at at 300mb per day. If I go over they shut off our internet. My Ping is usually around 1200ms -___-!

Anyways I was wondering if I set up simba bots on a VPS would that:

1.) Go over my 300mb a day because of the transfering of data
2.) speed up my bots becaue currently they take 1-2 seconds between actions and on a VPS they would be instant

Also what VPS should I get I have no clue -____-

 

Would be a bit tough to bot stuff constantly/stably with Simba scripts enough to make back all the money it costs to buy a VPS.

As for using internet, never used VPS myself, but I think one you log in, set up, you can 'close it' so no internet is used, until you need to check on them again.

VPS should be able to run Simba fine, you don't need a very powerful computer/connection to run Simba/Runescape.

 

Do you know how many simba bots I could run at a time on a VPS?

 

If you manage to get bots running on the VPS, it will be fine. Your vps has a completely different internet connection, probably faster then your own internet connection. However if you have a bad internet connection, setting up the bots on the vps could be a pain in the ass. I remember when I had really bad internet one time my bots would keep logging out. No clue why.

Yeah and I figured, new to VPS's

 

Smart/Runescape/Simba mostly take up CPU, not RAM.
With 3.85GHz 6 core processor I can run 8 smoothly, and probably 10 at max (never tried)

 

What you want is what KMJTs talking about, photonvps. I checked it out and its something that would benefit your needs as a whole.
