Hey guys, I'm sure some of you here have YouTube channels that have seen some relative success. I was just wondering what the best method to obtaining subscribers is? Currently I am simply spamming comments on videos from other related commentators, but progress is slow. I've only gotten about 70 subscribers in roughly a week. I don't expect to be at a million subscribers by now or something, but it just feels slow.

    tl;dr -
Best way to propel a YouTube channel with good content forward?

The proper way to get famous on youtube is buying shoutouts from other big youtubers for rsgp/paypal its what everyone does these days. Ive got 690 subs on a shit youtube i can give you a free shoutout if you make the video il upload for free.

Well I'm not really a RuneScape commentator. I do mainly Call of Duty videos. I can make something for you to upload if you're willing to do a shoutout for that type of content. I'd really appreciate it as I'm sure I'd get at least a few subs from it.

Try posting your videos on community forums, call of duty forums, sythe etc.
Make the best videos you can, ask for likes aswell this will make more people aware of your channel and videos.

It's always hard to start up a new channel, try new ideas, stuff that hasn't been done before.
Pretty much it is impossible to get big without the help from other youtubers though - unless you make really creative videos or have a unique style or are a professional or something.

No offense but I never said anything about paying anyone. If you wanted to make a sales pitch, I am not the person to do it to. Plus, I could get like 5,000 fake subscribers for as much as you're charging, and I highly doubt that I'd get more than a few hundred from your channel.

Are you putting out daily (or at least regular) content that not everyone can replicate?

Well unless there is something about you that sticks out as being better than the average you most likely won't garner much support. I haven't seen your vids so I can't say but if you've done plenty of advertising and it still isn't working for you even after that long it might be time to step up your game a bit.

No offense, but I think Youtube is over saturated with CoD commentaries, and that may be the problem. I'm not saying not to stop altogether, but people want to see the extraordinary, not mediocrity, so my best suggestion is get your tags proper, get some GOOD videos, (quality over quantity) and try your best not to do anything that will make viewers not want to watch your videos (stupid shit like 30 second intros makes videos awful, same with god-awful music)
