Swedish court ruled against allowing an appeal for the owners' sentences.

Thoughts?

but OT: it probably should have been taken down a while ago lol breaking all those copyright rules and stuff

Did the owner get arrested or just the site taken down?

 

Seems Like Thepiratebay.org Have Been Charged For 70,6k


The court ordered the site’s major bandwidth supplier, Black Internet, to disconnect TPB from the Internet or face penalties of 500,000 kroner ($70,600). The ISP complied, saying that it had no choice but to uphold the law, Sad Thing Thepiratebay Got Closed lol

Lol I was just using it a few minutes ago.

 

At first I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" but then I realized they changed they got a new domain. You almost gave me a heart attack here..

 

lol I can't access TPB in College. I didn't think they would actually manage to take it down just like that. Be a shame to see it go though.

 

I was wondering why the web address looked different, I even re-typed it to make sure I wasn't on a fake site. It would suck big time to see TPB shut down.

Lol I thought this was some crazy news as I had just downloaded two movies last night off it, but I probably downloaded it off their new domain anyways

 

It was really sad to read these lines, I've always been a good member of TPB

 

TPB will always thrive.

I'm about to load up some external HDDs with a bunch of stuff though, just because it seems like they're actually taking action now.
